We measure and predict states of Activation and Happiness using a body sensing application connected to smartwatches. Through the sensors of commercially available smartwatches we collect individual mood states and correlate them with body sensing data such as acceleration, heart rate, light level data, and location, through the GPS sensor built into the smartphone connected to the smartwatch. We polled users on the smartwatch for seven weeks four times per day asking for their mood state. We found that both Happiness and Activation are negatively correlated with heart beats and with the levels of light. People tend to be happier when they are moving more intensely and are feeling less activated during weekends. We also found that people with a lower Conscientiousness and Neuroticism and higher Agreeableness tend to be happy more frequently. In addition, more Activation can be predicted by lower Openness to experience and higher Agreeableness and Conscientiousness. Lastly, we find that tracking people’s geographical coordinates might play an important role in predicting Happiness and Activation. The methodology we propose is a first step towards building an automated mood tracking system, to be used for better teamwork and in combination with social network analysis studies.  相似文献

Summary Spherule cells are restricted to the larval stage and make up 5–16% of cells in the hemolymph. Their morphology varies between species, mainly due to the shape of their inclusions which may be oval (spheroidocytes), polyhedral (crystalloid cells), or clearly crystalline (crystal cells). These inclusions are very rich in tyrosine. They liquefy rapidly in vitro, whereby the cells become hyaline (coagulocytes).Acknowledgments. We thank Mr B. Barandun for excellent technical assistance. Summary 1–3 major proteins considered as vitellins or yolk proteins are detected in mature eggs from differentDrosophila species by gel electrophoresis on gradient slab gels. Qualitative and quantiative differences are found even between closely related species. In heteroplastic transplantations, no correlation was found between the similarity or dissimilarity of the protein pattern on the one hand, and success of failure of egg development and vitellogenesis on the other hand.We thank Mr B. Rapid advances in machine learning combined with wide availability of online social media have created considerable research activity in predicting what might be the news of tomorrow based on an analysis of the past.In this work,we present a deep learning forecasting framework which is capable to predict tomorrow’s news topics on Twitter and news feeds based on yesterday’s content and topic-interaction features.The proposed framework starts by generating topics from words using word embeddings and K-means clustering.Then temporal topic-networks are constructed where two topics are linked if the same user has worked on both topics.Structural and dynamic metrics calculated from networks along with content features and past activity,are used as input of a long short-term memory(LSTM)model,which predicts the number of mentions of a specific topic on the subsequent day.Utilizing dependencies among topics,our experiments on two Twitter datasets and the HuffPost news dataset demonstrate that selecting a topic’s historical local neighbors in the topic-network as extra features greatly improves the prediction accuracy and outperforms existing baselines.  相似文献

Information about regional carbon sources and sinks can be derived from variations in observed atmospheric CO2 concentrations via inverse modelling with atmospheric tracer transport models. A consensus has not yet been reached regarding the size and distribution of regional carbon fluxes obtained using this approach, partly owing to the use of several different atmospheric transport models. Here we report estimates of surface-atmosphere CO2 fluxes from an intercomparison of atmospheric CO2 inversion models (the TransCom 3 project), which includes 16 transport models and model variants. We find an uptake of CO2 in the southern extratropical ocean less than that estimated from ocean measurements, a result that is not sensitive to transport models or methodological approaches. We also find a northern land carbon sink that is distributed relatively evenly among the continents of the Northern Hemisphere, but these results show some sensitivity to transport differences among models, especially in how they respond to seasonal terrestrial exchange of CO2. Overall, carbon fluxes integrated over latitudinal zones are strongly constrained by observations in the middle to high latitudes. Further significant constraints to our understanding of regional carbon fluxes will therefore require improvements in transport models and expansion of the CO2 observation network within the tropics.  相似文献

Summary 14C labelled mevalonic acid is incorporated by the rat into the ubiquinone molecule. Vitamin E, however, is no precursor of ubiquinone. It is suggested that the ring component is essential for animals and that the isoprene side chain is at least partly built up by mevalonic acid.  相似文献
