Material held in collections, originally ascribed to the genus Schizotheca and originating from the NE Atlantic and Mediterranean, is revised. Two new species are described: Schizotheca carmenae sp. nov. from Azores and Portugal, originally cited as Strophiella tubigera [sic], and Schizotheca buski sp. nov. from Cape Verde and Brazil, originally cited as Schizotheca fissa. Schizotheca talismani, also from Cape Verde, is redescribed from original material and transferred to the genus Parasmittina. The Atlantic species Schizotheca tuberigera is redescribed and a new synonymy is established. Schizotheca aviculifera, from Morocco, is also redescribed and a lectotype designated. A lectotype is also chosen for Schizotheca fissa, type species of the genus. Schizotheca lepida, from north France, is considered to be an unrecognizable species.  相似文献

Sipunculans and echiurans collected by the “DIVA 1” expedition by RV Meteor (Cruise M48/1) to the deep‐sea bottom of the Angola Basin are recorded. Seven species from five genera and two separate phyla are recognized; only the echiuran Pseudoikedella achaeta has not been recorded hitherto in the southern sector of the Atlantic Ocean. A gradient analysis using redundancy analysis (RDA) under the CANOCO package indicates the existence of a neat latitudinal gradient of sipunculans along the Angola Basin from the southernmost stations towards the northern ones. The local abundance of abandoned horny tubes of polychaetes at some of the sampling sites of the northernmost stations explains the dense aggregations of Nephasoma diaphanes. This species exhibits an opportunistic lifestyle inside empty polychaete tubes on the abyssal plains of the Angola Basin.  相似文献

A Chaetognath species new to science, Sagitta abyssicola is described from specimens taken at abyssal depths (3500–4000 m) in the north east Atlantic Ocean and comparisons are made with related species of the ‘planctonis’ group namely S. planctonis Steinhaus, 1896, S. zetesios Fowler, 1905 and S. marri David, 1956. Three new West African species of gobiid fishes are described from the Gulf of Guinea in the tropical eastern Atlantic. These are Corcyrogobius lubbocki sp. nov., Thorogobius rofeni sp. nov. and Wheelerigobius wirtzi sp. nov. Generic features are discussed. T. rofeni, known from only the holotype, was trawled on the upper continental slope, an unusually deep occurrence for a gobiid species.  相似文献

A new Mysidacea, Bacescomysis papilio, with a unique, supernumerary complement of sensilla on the antennules, is described from the Porcupine Abyssal Plain (4848?m) in the North‐East Atlantic. Comparisons are made with the species of Bacescomysis and of the related genus Hansenomysis. Biological and biogeographical remarks on these two genera are provided, i.e. role of antennule, adaptations to deep water, and correlations between depth range of species and latitude.  相似文献

 应用谱分析的方法,讨论了热带太平洋、印度洋和大西洋海温对西太平洋副高西伸脊点的影响,得出热带太平洋、印度洋、大西洋海温变化对西伸脊点有影响的最佳落后时间长度.分别找出三大洋在上述落后时间长度下对西伸脊点东退和西伸有影响的关键区域.它可以作为西伸脊点东退或西伸的强信号因子,并对上述区域进行比较分析.西太平洋副高西伸脊点可以作为衡量东亚季风的一个指数,而东亚季风对处于低纬高原的云南的天气和气候有很大的影响.  相似文献

By comprehensive analyses,it was found that the variations in δ^18O recorded in Malan ice core from the Kekexili Region on the Tibetan Plateau could represent the changes in air temperature during the summer half year (from May to October) over the Kekexili Region and the northern margin of the Tibetan Plateau.The general increase trend in δ^18O in the ice core during the past century indicated climate warming,and it was estimated that air temperature during the summer half-year rose about 1.2℃ over there then.However,this ice core record documented that the study area has been cooling while most of the world has been dramatically warming since the late 1970s. A tele-connection was found between the variations in δ^18O in the Malan ice core and the North Atlantic Oscillation.Moreover,the variations in δ^18O in this ice core were similar to that in the summer half-year air temperature over the southern Tibetan Plateau on the centurial time scale,but opposite on the multidecadal time scale.  相似文献

为了提高热带气旋的短期气候预测水平,选取1851-1870年北大西洋热带气旋样本,按照热带气旋在不同海域的路径差异分成5个区域,利用基于偏最小二乘回归的气候持续法,建立预报未来气旋中心位置的模型,对1871-2010年每个区域的气旋进行路径预报。根据预报结果与实际数据的误差分析每个区域的预报难度,利用小波分析法找出预报难度变化的周期性规律。结果表明,北大西洋海域热带气旋路径预报的难度呈现从南向北以及从东向西递增规律,靠近大陆区域的部分热带气旋路径发生转折,这些区域的预报难度有所增大。中高纬度区域是气旋路径有旺盛期向衰亡期转折的区域,影响气旋路径的因素较多,该区域气旋路径预报的难度更大。  相似文献

This study employed proxy data to investigate the phase relationship between the North Atlantic deep-level temperature and the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau (TP) surface air temperature (TP temperature) and its evolution at the mil- lennial scale since the Last Interglaciation. The results indicate the alternation of in-phase and anti-phase relation- ships since the Last Interglaciation, with the in-phase rela- tionships showing a shorter duration than the anti-phase relationships. Alternations between the in-phase and anti- phase relationships occurred more frequently during the Last Interglaciation than during the Last Glaciation. The phase relationship between the North At/antic deep-level temperature and the TP temperature was broadly illustrated by that between the North Atlantic temperature (based on oxygen isotope data from the Greenland ice core) and TP temperature. Furthermore, the North Atlantic deep-level temperature and the TP temperature may be connected through the North Atlantic sea surface temperature.  相似文献
