Features of Black English:Towards a Comprehensive Perspective

In the past,Black English was stigmatized as"bad English".People looked down upon Black English.As the development ofBlack English and the mixture with Standard English,Black English has attracted more and more attention from the world.Its status has beenimproved.Black English,as a kind of ethnic dialect,is finally accepted.People have realized that Black English is just a kind of language vari-ety with its own characters.This article mainly talks about the unique features of Black English from a comprehensive point of view.

Evaluation of genetic diversity and relationships within and between two breeds of duck based on microsatellite markers

The genetic diversity of two natural populations (M, N) of Beijing duck (Anas platyrhynchos) and 11 artificially selected lines of Beijing duck (A, B, E-L, O) from China Gold Star Duck Production Ltd., along with two Cherry Valley duck lines (C and D) from the British Cherry Valley Livestock Division, was evaluated using 18 microsatellite markers covering 16 linkage groups. A phylogenetic tree of the 15 populations of duck, formed of four main branches, was constructed from Nei’s D_A genetic distance. The mean genetic differentiation index (F_ST) in all loci, Nei’s standard genetic distance (Ds), and the genetic distance D_A between the Beijing duck and the Cherry Valley duck were 0.075, 0.143 and 0.142, respectively. These results demonstrated a high degree of genetic similarity between the two breeds and supported the hypothesis that the Cherry Valley duck was derived from the Beijing duck. The F_ST matrix of seven clusters of Beijing duck suggested that the efficiency of selection was not significant to some extent and should be supplemented by marker-assisted selection.

南充地区桃李资源初报

1988～1989年对南充地区12县(市)开展了全面地桃李资源调查。结果表明,该区桃李栽培历史近千年;桃李各有一个种,64个桃品种(地方品种27个,引进品种37个),30个李品种(地方品种23个,引进品种7个)发现最优良的地方桃品种有白花桃,岳池伏桃2号(伏桃)和红花桃;最优良的地方李品种有营山李、南充桐子李、王黄李、青皮李和黄蜡李。     

湖南半蒴苣苔属一新变种：鬼溪半蒴苣苔

描述了新发现于湖南的苦苣苔科一新变种——鬼溪半蒴苣苔（Hemiboea gracilis Franch. var. guixiensis G. X. Chen, X. M. Xiang et L. T var. nov.）,新变种与原变种纤细半蒴苣苔（Hemiboea gracilis Franch.）在形态上相近,但通过野外调查以及室内鉴定发现,新变种全株茎疏生柔毛,叶两面和叶柄密生硬毛,苞片、花序梗、花梗、花萼和花冠密生柔毛,果尖端疏生柔毛,二者易于区别.     

变跨度隧道施工引起的地表沉降

针对某地铁叉口变跨度隧道的施工方案进行了离心模型试验 ,模拟了隧道采用双侧壁导坑法施工时地表沉降随各开挖步施工的变化规律 ,同时对相接变跨度隧道施工对地表沉降的相互影响进行了模拟试验 ,试验预测了隧道施工中地表沉降的发生、发展、收敛的全过程 ,所得结果对同类工程具有一定的参考价值     

洛阳出土五代宋元瓷器研究

洛阳出土五代宋元时期瓷器品种特别多,除青瓷和白瓷外,还有黑瓷、褐釉瓷、酱釉瓷、兔毫瓷等。在器形上,五代有银扣碗、花边碗、盒、盏托、壶、盆、盂罐、枕;宋代碗的种类更加丰富,还有盘、杯、瓶、缸、高足炉、碟等;元代有碗、盏、瓶、罐、壶。器物装饰方式有刻花、划花、镂空、堆雕、印花、点彩等;纹饰除几何纹外,还有花卉图案、动物图案及人物故事图案等。     

Dating recent lake sediments using spheroidal carbonaceous particle （SCP）

Dating lake sediment using sedimentary event is the supplement and calibration to traditional dating by radionuclide such as ^210Pb and ^137Cs. Based on the change of spheroidal carbonaceous particle (SCP) concentration, the age sequence of lake sediments can be deduced. It is one of the dating methods using sedimentary event. SCP is formed from combustion of fossil fuel at high temperature up to1750℃ and at a rate of heating of approaching 104℃/s. It can be dispersed to several hundred kilometers away from its source and deposited with precipitation or dryly deposited, and kept in sediments. Compared with Cs or Pb, there is no evidence for SCP that it decays in lake sediments and is unremovable once stored except by physical disturbance because it is mainly composed of element carbon. Handy method to extract, identify and calculate has been developed. Although fossil fuel has been used early in China, combustion at high temperature started later since emergence of electricity generation. The productivity of SCP is positively related with the generated thermal power, which is reflected as the SCP concentration in lake sediments increases with the increase of generated thermal power. Therefore, reliable sediment markers from the start of the SCP record and the remarkable variation can be used for dating purpose. In China, electricity industry started from the 1950s, and rapid increase of generated power took place since 1978. Based on these time markers, SCP time sequences of lake sediment cores LH and LL-4 from Longgan Lake, the middle reach of the Yangtze River, have been established, which is comparable with the results from ^137Cs and ^210pb, and has eliminated the errors of dating using ^137Cs and ^210pb.     

A pyruvate kinase variant in different mouse transplanted tumors

Summary Mouse transplanted tumors, in contrast to normal tissues, contain a pyruvate kinase (PK) variant sensitive to the inhibitory action of L-cysteine and less sensitive to saturated fatty acids than the normal enzyme. In selected normal and tumor materials two fractions of PK were separated. Fraction A (20–30% (NH₄)₂SO₄ saturation) dominated in normal liver, and fraction B (50–60% (NH₄)₂SO₄ saturation) in skeletal muscles and Ehrlich ascites tumor. Only this fraction B from tumor material was sensitive to L-cysteine, and seems to contain a tumor-specific PK variant which might be considered as a marker of neoplastic transformation in a broad spectrum of mouse experimental tumors.
