雌激素影响果蝇性比机制的研究

本文以果蝇的红白眼色为遗传标记性状,利用红眼雄蝇与白眼雌蝇杂交的方法,研究了乙烯雌酚影响果蝇性比的机制。研究结果表明,在本试验浓度条件下,乙烯雌酚未能使y类型的合子发生性反转,而是对其存在致死作用或是降低了含y染色体的精子的受精机会。     

虎纹蛙在产卵前后血浆性激素变化的研究

本文研究了虎纹蛙产卵前后血浆性激素变化,得到如下结果;雄性虎纹蛙在交配期血浆睾酮的含量较非交配期高,提示间质细胞分泌的激素与精子的形成相关。雌性虎纹蛙在产卵前血浆雌二醇含量较产卵后高,说明卵泡分泌的激素可能影响其他性征的发育。     

High molecular transport proteins for JH-III in insect hemolymph

Summary Using two independent techniques, ultracentrifugation in a KBr-gradient, and native pore polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis in combination with [³H]-epoxyfarnesyldiazoacetate photoaffinity labeling, we showed that in the hemolymph ofPeriplaneta americana, and probably also inLeptinotarsa decemlineata JH-III binds to the lipophorin, whereas inLocusta migratoria JH-III binds to a different protein.     

重组人甲状旁腺激素(1-34)在大肠杆菌中的表达与纯化

将化学合成的rhPTH(1-34)基因用PCR扩增后,克隆至表达载体pET-35b( ),使rhPTH(1—34)融合于纤维素结合结构域(CBDdos)的羧基端,并得到高效表达．融合蛋白经纤维素树脂亲和层析纯化后,经Factor Xa裂解释放出rhPTH(1-34),再通过纤维素树脂亲和层析、C4反向高效液相色谱纯化得到rhPTH(1-34)纯品．每升培养液可获取3mg高纯度的rhPTH(1-34)．经质谱测定,所得样品的分子量为4117．0Da,与rhPTH(1—34)理论分子量一致．     

Molecular mechanisms in male determination and germ cell differentiation

Sex determination and gametogenesis are key processes in human reproduction, and any defect can lead to infertility. We describe here the molecular mechanisms of male sex determination and testis formation; defects in sex determination lead to a female phenotype despite the presence of a Y chromosome, more rarely to a male phenotype with XX chromosomes, or to intersex phenotypes. Interestingly, these phenotypes are often associated with other developmental malformations. In testis, spermatozoa are produced from renewable stem cells in a complex differentiation process called spermatogenesis. Gene expression during spermatogenesis differs to a surprising degree from gene expression in somatic cells, and we discuss here mechanistic differences and their effect on the differentiation process and male fertility.Received 23 January 2004; received after revision 30 March 2004; accepted 6 April 2004     

Thyroid hormone controls carnitine status through modifications of γ-butyrobetaine hydroxylase activity and gene expression

The carnitine system plays a key role in β-oxidation of long-chain fatty acids by permitting their transport into the mitochondrial matrix. The effects of hypothyroidism and hyperthyroidism were studied on γ-butyrobetaine hydroxylase (BBH), the enzyme responsible for carnitine biosynthesis in the rat. In rat liver, BBH activity was decreased in the hypothyroid state and increased in hyperthyroid animals. The modifications in BBH activity correlated with changes in the enzyme Vmax values. These changes were shown to be related to hepatic BBH mRNA abundance. Thyroid hormones are known to interact with lipid metabolism, in particular by increasing long-chain fatty acid oxidation through activation of carnitine-dependent fatty acid import into mitochondria. 从大致均等到精确均等--谈人类性别的"配偶供需量均等原则"

目前关于人类性别在数量上大致均等的一般解释难以自圆其说。作者依据从进化论思想推导出的配偶供需量均等原则,不仅很好地解释了这一“大致均等”的现象,而且揭示了更深剌的“精确均等”内涵。它告诉人们：男性比女性在数量上稍多一点的根本原因,是因为男性的平均寿命比女性稍短一点。文章不仅定性而且定量地对此现点进行了说明。     

Resveratrol-type oligostilbenes from Iris clarkei antagonize 20-hydroxyecdysone action in the Drosophila melanogaster B(II) cell line

Bioassay-guided high-performance liquid chromatography analysis of a MeOH extract of Iris clarkei seeds yielded the resveratrol-type oligomeric stilbenes, ampelopsin B and α-viniferin, which antagonize the action of 20-hydroxyecdysone; with a 20-hydroxyecdysone concentration of 50 nM, the ED₅₀ values were 33 μM and 10 μM, respectively. The structures of these compounds were determined by spectroscopic analysis, notably ultraviolet, liquid secondary ion mass spectrometry and modern one- and two-dimensional nuclear magnetic resonance techniques. 五指山猪生长激素基因全序列克隆及序列分析

通过筛选一对引物，PCR扩增五指山小型猪GH基因全序列，并进行克隆测序分析、序列分析及氨基酸分析．结果表明，有98个位点不同，同源性为95．026％，外显子有2个碱基发生了突变，其中外显子2有1个位点的碱基突变导致了氨基酸异义取代。     

Synthesis and assessment of attractiveness and mating disruption efficacy of sex pheromone microcapsules for the diamondback moth,Plutella xylostella （L.）

Microcapsules of sex pheromone of the diamondback moth （DBM）, Plutella xylostella （Lepidoptera： Plutellidae） were synthesized through complex coacervation using gelatin and gum arabic as wall-forming materials. The encapsulated pheromone released from these microcapsules into the air was monitored over six weeks in the field. Results of a field trial show that the attractiveness of microcapsules was superior to that of rubber septa loaded with the same amount of pheromone. The mating disruption efficiency of the pheromone treatment was estimated through comparing numbers of moths captured in pheromone-baited traps placed in pheromone treatment fields and pesticide treatment fields. The estimated mating disruption efficiency of the pheromone treatments ranged from 76.94% to 98.67% during the season. This study shows that pheromone microcapsules might provide a new method for P. xylostella control.
