Influence of interannual variability of Antarctic oscillation on mei-yu along the Yangtze and Huaihe River valley and its importance to prediction

Both correlation analysis and case study indicate that Antarctic oscillation (AAO) is closely related with summer rainfall in eastern China. When AAO is stronger in boreal spring, especially in May, there is more mei-yu rainfall in summer with a longer period along the Yangtze and Huaihe River valley. In contrast, there is less rainfall with a shorter period corresponding to a weaker AAO. Besides, an anomalous AAO changes the position and intensity of several circulation systems, which are important to summer rainfall along the Yangtze and Huaihe River valley. Furthermore, the Antarctic sea ice is negatively correlated with the intensity of AAO with a 6-month leading time. The result in this study provides a new method for the prediction of mei-yu.     

南麂海区真鲷深水网箱养殖技术研究

2003年 4月 30日从福建沙埕购进平均体重 150 g的大规格真鲷鱼种 17633尾在南麂大沙岙半开放性海区深水网箱中进行试养,运输成活率高达 99.7 %,养至 2004年 5月 1日平均体重达 475 g,养殖成活率为 89.9 %,饵料系数为 8.38,投入产出比为 1: 1.297,毛利率为 22.9 %.此外,还对南麂海区深水网箱养殖真鲷的有关技术问题进行了初步探讨.     

Application of ESPRIT in Broad Beam HF Ground Wave Radar Sea Surface Current Mapping

HF surface wave radar system OSMAR2000 is a broad-beam sea-state detecting radar.ESPRIT (Estimation of Signal Parameters via Rotational Invariance Technique) algorithm is proposed to apply in DOA (direction of arrival) determination of sea echoes.The algorithm of ESPRIT is briefly introduced first.Then discussions are made on the technique for application in the OSMAR2000 framework.Numerical simulation results are presented to demonstrate the feasibility of radial current mapping based on this method.The algorithm manifests significant performance and computational advantages compared with that of MUSIC.Data acquired by OSMAR2000 are processed to give radial current map and the synthesized vector currents are compared with the in-situ measurement with traditional means.The results show the validity of ESPRIT application in DOA determination for broad-beam radar.

山西中晚石炭世陆表海的沉积特征

通过对中、晚石炭世地层中各类岩石组合特征,沉积体系的空间展布和海平面等诸方面的分析,研究,认为山西中,晚石炭世陆表海为结北巨型克拉通陆表海的缩影,当时陆表海发育了一套清水与混水交互、填积与进积共存的碳酸盐台地体系和泻湖－潮坪体系及三角洲体系的含煤沉积建造。     

Coastal plain evolution in southern Hainan Island, China

The coast of southern Hainan Island is characterized by wide sandy embayments, which consist of ( i) drowned valleys bounded by steep bedrock hills and only locally receiving sediments, and embayments of various dimensions covered either by (ii) alluvial-deltaic deposits or by (iii) sands of coastal beach ridges/barriers and associated elongated lagoons. During the late Tertiary-Pleistocene the area has experienced isostatic and eustatic movements associated with neotectonics and climatic changes. Such history isrecorded in terraces at various altitudes (SO, 40, 20 m asl) and sequences of coastal sand ridges/baymouth bars. The Holocene variations in sea level and climate are recorded in the dated coastal ridges, coral reef and beachrock. Conditions suitable for reef development started about 8000 a BP. The GPR profiles also show that the internal structures of the sand ridges have composite nature being formed by several superimposed secondary ridges.
