Chimeras of human lysozyme and α-lactalbumin: an interesting tool for studying partially folded states during protein folding

Protein folding is an extremely active field of research where biology, chemistry, computer science and physics meet. Although the study of protein-folding intermediates in general and equilibrium intermediates in particular has grown considerably in recent years, many questions regarding the conformational state and the structural features of the various partially folded intermediate states remain unanswered. Performing kinetic measurements on proteins that have had their structures modified by site-directed mutagenesis, the so-called protein-engineering method, is an obvious way to gain fine structural information. In the present review, this method has been applied to a variety of proteins belonging to the lysozyme/α-lactalbumin family. Besides recombinants obtained by point mutations of individual critical residues, chimeric proteins in which whole structural elements (10 – 25 residues) from α-lactalbumin were inserted into a human lysozyme matrix are examined. The conformational properties of the equilibrium intermediate states are discussed together with the structural characterization of the partially unfolded states encountered in the kinetic folding pathway. 重力坝CAD系统

本文叙述了微机重力坝CAD系统的组成,系统的分析与设计,组成各模块的关系框图与各模块实现的功能,以及各种支撑软件在本系统中的应用。文中给出结合工程的计算实例。算例表明,应用本系统进行工程设计,不但缩短设计周期、提高设计质量,而且降低了设计成本,具有显著的经济效益。     

一类带有阶段结构的渔业收获模型

提出和分析了一类带有阶段结构的渔业收获模型,讨论了该模型的平衡点的存在性和局部稳定、不稳定性以及全局稳定性,得到了保持渔业的持续生存、稳定和税收阈值.     

一类具M-P型非线性神经网络模型的渐近性与指数稳定

研究了二元非线性时滞神经网络模型.获得了大阈值及临界阈值情形的渐近行为与全局指数稳定.特别是对临界情形建立了解趋于各平衡点的充要条件,其结果对相关文献的结论作了较大推广.     

Polarity modified triplex DNA by bromide

Conclusion A py-pu-py triplex DNA containing the polarity modification by replacing the atom H5 of cytosine with Br was examined, mainly for the stability of the formation of the triplex DNA. Our computational results show that the conformation of the strand that contained a replaced H5 by cytosine to Br was destabilized, but the Hoogsteen base pairs were stabilized. Although this approach of modifying the polarity of DNA base has not been tried before, it shows the possibility to improve the stability by the polarity modification.
