松毛虫赤眼蜂(Trichogramma dendrolimi)和玉米螟赤眼蜂(T.ostriniae)雌性触角的扫描电镜观察

用扫描电镜观察了松毛虫赤眼蜂和玉米螟赤眼蜂的雌性触角,得到两种蜂触角上的感受器各有九种。发现分布在棒节腹面“探索区”的i型感器数目和形状在两种蜂之间有明显差异,因此具有鉴定种类的价值。用光学显微镜也能分辨出这种感器。本文详细描述了各种感器的细微结构和形态特征。     

Intraocular 6-hydroxydopamine prevents the persistent estrus induced by continuous light

Summary Following the intraocular injection of 6-hydroxydopamine, which can destroy the retinal dopaminergic neurons, female rats showed a normal estrous cycle in LD 1212 but not a persistent estrus in continuous light.     

Increased melatonin levels after hemorrhagic shock in male and female C3H/HeN mice

Although hemorrhagic shock leads to significant alterations of several hormones, e.g. ACTH, corticosterone and -endorphin, it is not known whether plasma melatonin levels are affected under this condition and if so, whether the effects are comparable in males and females. Using a radioimmunoassay, it was found that plasma melatonin levels were significantly increased in male and proestrus female C3H/HeN mice immediately after hemorrhagic shock. However, in male mice, by two hours after hemorrhage and resuscitation, plasma melatonin returned to levels comparable to those seen in control and sham-operated animals. Proestrus female mice, on the other hand, showed significantly increased plasma melatonin levels at two hours after surgery when compared to unoperated control animals. Although the significance and biological role of the transient increased plasma melatonin levels after hemorrhagic shock remain to be determined, it appears that the pineal gland and/or an extrapineal source of melatonin, of both male and proestrus female mice responds to severe hypotension by increased release of melatonin.     

Sexual responses of female canaries at the onset of song stimuli

The salience of a short conspecific song phrase versus a long one or a short heterospecific song phrase was tested in females of the common domesticated canary (Serinus canaria). All phrases were computer-edited. The copulation solicitation displays (CSD) served as an index of female responses. The results support the hypothesis that female canaries are able at the onset of a song phrase stimulus: 1) to respond to a conspecific one by displaying high levels of CSD and 2) to discriminate a conspecific from a heterospecific one. Proximal explanations examine the link between perceptual processes and phonology in the canary. Functional explanations investigate the relations between female responsiveness and the process of pair formation.     

老年优秀气排球运动员膝关节损伤调查研究

对我国31支老年气排球队的106名男女优秀气排球队运动员膝关节损伤进行调查研究，结果发现：男子膝关节损伤发生率占所有运动损伤比例为32．6％，女子膝关节损伤发生率占所有运动损伤比例为27．0％。损伤率与肌肉力量不足、准备活动不充分等因素有关．结合老年气排球运动的特点就导致损伤的原因进行了分析，并提出了预防建议．
