Regulation of mouse trophoblast giant cell nucleus development in hatched mouse blastocysts by cyclic cytidine 3′,5′-monophosphate (cCMP)

Summary The dibutyryl analog of cCMP enlarged the nuclei of trophoblast gian cells and promoted blastocyst development. The result suggests that cCMP has a trophic effect on embryonic development, specifically by altering the size of the trophoblast cell nucleus but does not enhance trophoblast cell proliferation processes.     

Structure and function of a calmodulin-dependent smooth muscle myosin light chain kinase

Summary In smooth muscle the M_r 20,000 light chain of myosin is phosphorylated by a calmodulin-dependent protein kinase. It consists of 2 subunits: calmodulin, an acidic protein of M_r 17,000 that binds 4 moles of Ca²⁺; and a larger protein of M_r circa 130,000. Activation of the kinase is dependent upon their association in the presence of Ca²⁺. Cyclic AMP-dependent protein kinase phosphorylation of the myosin light chain kinase occurs at 2 sites. It decreases the affinity of the kinase for calmodulin and a reduction in the rate of light chain phosphorylation occurs. The kinase has an overall asymmetric shape composed of a globular head and tail region for the skeletal muscle enzyme. Trypsin digestion of this kinase releases a fragment of M_r 36,000 from the globular region that contains the catalytic and calmodulin binding sites. Chymotrypsin digestion of the kinase from smooth muscle generates a fragment of M_r 80,000 that does not contain the calmodulin binding or cyclic AMP-dependent protein kinase phosphorylation sites. It is a Ca²⁺-independent form of the kinase that phosphorylates the light chain of myosin. These structural features indicate a regulatory role for the kinase in smooth muscle phosphorylation and contraction.

双层钢箱截面组合索塔力学性能试验

设计制作了5个具有开孔板连接件和5个具有焊钉连接件的双层钢箱截面钢-混凝土组合索塔模型试件,根据索塔实际受力特性进行轴压和恒定轴力下的往复弯曲荷载试验.试验展示了使用两类连接件的双层钢箱组合索塔在不同荷载作用下的破坏形态和极限能力,结果表明:开孔板和焊钉均能约束受压钢板的屈曲波长,连接件的类型对试件破坏的具体形态有一定影响;轴压比是影响试件力学性能的主要因素,所有试件都根据其大小分为受压破坏和受拉破坏两类;无轴力和过高的轴力都会明显降低构件在往复荷载下的力学性能.最后,将试验结果与按照基于刚塑性原理的规范计算得到的承载能力进行比较.     

SiW11O39Fe(Ⅲ)(H2O)5-的电化学性质及电催化还原过氧化氢

 用循环伏安和交流阻抗等方法详细研究了SiW₁₁O₃₉Fe(Ⅲ)(H₂O)^5- (SiW₁₁Fe)的电化学性质和对H₂O₂ 还原的间接电催化作用,并与PW₁₁O₃₉Fe(Ⅲ)(H₂O)_4- (PW₁₁Fe)进行了比较,同时提出了电催化反应的机理。实验结果表明,与PW₁₁Fe 类似,SiW₁₁Fe在酸性水溶液中也有3对还原氧化伏安响应,分别归属于Fe(Ⅲ)/Fe(Ⅱ)电对和W-O骨架的还原氧化反应。但SiW₁₁Fe的3对还原氧化波的峰电位与PW₁₁Fe)相比明显负移,且均受溶液pH的影响。SiW₁₁Fe中Fe(Ⅲ)/Fe(Ⅱ)电对传递电子的可逆性比PW₁₁Fe的差,但同样对H₂O₂ 的还原具有明显的电催化作用,并受溶液pH的影响。随着溶液pH的增加,Fe波和W-O骨架波的还原氧化峰电位均负移,Fe波对H₂O₂ 还原的电催化活性降低甚至被完全抑制,相反,第一个W-O骨架波对H₂O₂ 的还原却有明显的电催化作用。
