Juvenile hormone titre and regulation in the cockroachDiploptera punctata

Summary Titres of juvenile hormone (JH) have been determined in both hemolymph and whole body extracts of femaleDiploptera punctata during the first gonotrophic cycle using a method employing gas chromatography/mass spectrometry for qualitative and quantitative analysis. JH III is the sole JH found in both adult and last instarD. punctata. Maximum values of 1500 ng/ml (6M) were observed at the middle of the gonotrophic cycle, when basal oocyte growth rate was greatest. Changes in rates of JH release in vitro by corpora allata paralleled closely the changes in JH titre, suggesting that biosynthesis is a major regulator of titre. JH levels per animal were calculated from observed JH titres, and at certain time points in the gonotrophic cycle JH levels obtained from analysis of whole bodies were significantly greater than those predicted from hemolymph titres. These results suggest the existence of a nonhemolymph JH pool inD. punctata. Decay in JH titre after allatectomy of 5 day females has also been studied. Following a rapid initial decline, the rate of decay slowed appreciably 4 h post-operation. Thus, use of a first-order rate constant to estimate half-life of JH significantly underestimated the longevity of the hormone. The apparent persistence of JH following allatectomy may be due to the existence of a nonhemolymph JH pool.     

Effect of feeding cereal-legume diets to rats on in vitro absorption of45Ca

Summary The in vitro absorption of calcium from the duodenum was significantly less in a group of rats fed on a wheat diet than in a group fed a wheat and Bengal gram (7030) diet.     

Effects of a new cholecystokinin antagonist (GE 410) on the smooth muscle of the guinea pig ileum

Summary Suc-Tyr-(SE)-Met-Gly-Trp-Met-Asp--phenethylamide (GE 410) competitively antagonized the contractions of smooth muscle strips from guinea pig ileum (pA₂=7.6, n=0.95) induced by cholecystokinin-octapeptide (CCK8). GE 410 inhibited the electrically-induced cholinergically mediated contractile responses and the [³H]ACh release in the ileum, as well as the CCK-stimulated electrical contractile responses and the [³H]ACh release in the cholinergic nerve terminals. The results suggest the existence of CCK-receptors not only in the smooth muscles but also on the neurons.     

细胞内游离钙的荧光测定

由于细胞内游离钙浓度是重要的生理指标之一,所以重点在测定细胞内游离钙的技术要求、影响测定的重要因素、钙的荧光试剂以及新进展四个方面叙述。实验证明Ｗａｚｏ－１试剂对细胞无毒性,与钙反应迅速、灵敏及选择性高,细胞内游离钙的荧光测定快速准确。但是,荧光试剂的合成路线较长,还需要改进。     

Effect of calcium ions on the secondary structures of photosystemⅡ and its relations with photoinhibition

Calcium ions play an important role in the oxygen_evolving process of photosystem Ⅱ as demonstrated in many experiments. The changes of the secondary structures of PS Ⅱ induced by the depletion of Ca 2+ were reported. The results indicated that the removal of Ca 2+ led to the transition of α helix to turns and sheet structures. While Ca 2+ was re_added to the media, only the structures changed to turns could be recovered. The protein conformational changes of PS Ⅱ during the donor side photoinhibition induced by the depletion of Ca 2+ were also studied. This showed that the protein conformational changes differed between the control and Ca 2+ _depleted samples in a short period of illumination (within 10 min). However, the changes became similar when the illumination time was increased.     

Ecological long-term effects of cultigens becoming feral and of naturalization of non-native species

Transgenic cultigens may become feral as we know of some non-transgenic cultigens. The article explains two basic ways how cultigens become feral: through hybridization with a closely related wild plant and through revert to the wild-type. A long list of examples of cultigens becoming feral in Central Europe is presented. The process of becoming feral is compared to the naturalization of non-native species (Exotic Species Model). Ecological long-term effects of both cultigens becoming feral and non-native species being naturalized are discussed with special regard to the predictability of such events. The ecological aspects discussed in the article are as significant for transgenic cultigens as for non-transgenic cultigens.     

聚苯乙烯包膜尿素缓释肥的缓释特性研究

以尿素为缓释肥料核心，废聚苯乙烯泡沫塑料作基料，松香为粘结剂，粉煤灰为调理剂。用简易的生产成本研制出较为理想的缓释肥料，为适合目标作物营养需求规律的专用肥奠定工艺基础．采用水溶法对其释放特性进行研究和评价，试验结果表明，缓释效果随着聚苯乙烯浓度、松香量及包膜厚度的增加而提高，但聚苯乙烯浓度超过35％后，因粘度过大给包裹带来困难，从成本考虑松香的加入量为15％左右为佳．     

钙稳态失衡与细胞凋亡的研究现状

细胞胞浆钙离子浓度必须处于严格的范围，一旦钙稳态失调将导致细胞损伤或死亡．本文主要从外界因素引起钙稳态失调导致细胞死亡的作用、直接钙稳态失调所致的细胞死亡效应及钙离子在细胞凋亡中的作用等方面作一综述。     

超重力场中微细晶须碳酸钙结晶过程及产品稳定性研究

在旋转填充床转子高速旋转产生的超重力场中，以MgCl12或H3PO4为晶形控制剂合成微细晶须碳酸钙，通过反应过程中pH值的变化以及针状晶种存在与否两种情形下晶体形貌的演变对结晶过程进行了研究，同时对产品粒子的稳定性进行了初步探讨．结果表明，无晶种存在时，微细晶须碳酸钙晶形的形成需要经历不规则外形-类纺锤形-晶须状-微细晶须状4个阶段；有晶种存在时，产品粒子倾向于在其表面或周围成核，最终所有粒子短轴与长径比趋向均匀；微细晶须碳酸钙粒子在陈化及干燥情形下表现出良好的稳定性．     

聚乙烯胺在CaCO3加填造纸中的作用效果

探讨了在弱碱性条件下聚乙烯胺(PVAm)对CaCO3加填的芦苇浆和废纸浆的助留助滤效果．实验结果表明：PVAm在两种浆中都有非常显著的助滤．助留效果，且在芦苇浆中的助滤效果大于废纸浆．PVAm在芦苇浆中对纤维的助留效果不如废纸浆，但对CaCO3的助留效果高于废纸浆．
