Calcareous nannofossil bioevents and microtektite stratigraphy in the Western Philippine Sea during the Quaternary

Two sediment cores, MD06-3050 and MD06-3047, were analyzed to study the Quaternary calcareous nannofossil and microtektite records. We dated bioevents and the microtektite impact event by calibrating with oxygen isotope stratigraphy. Seven calcareous nannofossil bioevents were identified over the past 2.36 Ma including the last appearance of data for Discoaster brouweri, Calcidiscus macintyrei, large Gephyrocapsa and Pseudoemiliania lacunosa, the first appearance of data for large Gephyrocapsa and Emiliania huxleyi, and the abrupt increase in the abundance of Gephyrocapsa caribbeanica. In addition, we fortunately observed that Australasian microtektites were distributed in core MD06-3050 from 1340 to 1374 cm.

对地面钻探确定导水裂隙带高度水文地质意义的新认识

导水裂隙带高度的确定为矿井安全开采提供设计依据,通过对钻孔测导高简易水文曲线特征及巷探资料的研究,突变型、渐变型、波变型3种类型的导水裂隙带顶界面,都应以完全中断循环的深度确定导高临界面位置.淮南矿井实例研究结果表明按突变型、渐变型、波变型来确定临界导高位置方法可行实用.     

黄海粮仓绿色生态高效现代农业的建设

 黄海沿岸是中国沿海滩涂面积最大的区域，后备耕地和海洋资源开发潜力巨大。目前中国正在实施海洋"蓝色粮仓"战略，但黄海陆地"绿色粮仓"尚未开发。建议重点支持黄海粮仓绿色生态高效现代农业建设，加强沿海滩涂地区耐盐水稻品种选育和示范推广，加强稻麦两茬区的抗逆品种和减灾栽培配套技术体系创建；创建不同的现代农业、水产养殖、工业建设、生态建设、休闲养生、观光旅游等模式，实现工农业、生态环境的绿色协同发展。     

Sponges from bathyal depths (1000–1750 m) in the Western Mediterranean Sea

This note deals with a study of sponge fauna at seven deep stations (1000–1750 m) in the Western Mediterranean Sea. The species found exhibit a broad geographical distribution, mainly centred in the Northern Atlantic Ocean. Trichostemma sarsi and Hyalonema thomsoni are recorded for the first time in the Mediterranean Sea, and the known bathymetric distribution of Polymastia tissieri has been considerably enlarged. Some taxonomic problems involving the genera Trichostemma, Radiella and Polymastia and the species Hyalonema thomsoni and H. infundibulum are discussed, and arguments supporting the reclassification of the species Radiella tissieri under the genus Polymastia are put forward.     

The food of Riccardoella limacum (Schrank) — Acari-Trombidiformes and its relationship with pulmonate molluscs

Summary

Knowledge of the anatomy and contents of the alimentary canal of R. limacum was obtained by using transverse and longitudinal sections of adult mites. Histological and histochemical techniques revealed the absence of slug mucus and the presence of slug amoebocytes in the gut caeca of the mite. The evidence available supports the contention that the slug mite is a blood feeder and obtains this food by producing a feeding tube or ‘stylostome’ in the tissues of its host.     

An abyssal species of Sagitta (Chaetognatha) from the North East Atlantic

A Chaetognath species new to science, Sagitta abyssicola is described from specimens taken at abyssal depths (3500–4000 m) in the north east Atlantic Ocean and comparisons are made with related species of the ‘planctonis’ group namely S. planctonis Steinhaus, 1896, S. zetesios Fowler, 1905 and S. marri David, 1956. Ecological data are provided.
