AUTOMATED REASONING IN DIFFERENTIAL GEOMETRY AND MECHANICS USING THE CHARACTERISTIC METHOD Ⅳ. Bertrand Curves

This paper reports the study of properties of the curve pairs of the Bertrandtypes using our automated reasoning program based on Wu's method of mechanical the-orem proving for differential geometry. A complete list of results about Bertrand curvesin metric and affine spaces is derived mechanically. The list includes most of the knownresults of various Bertrand curves. We also derive some new results about Bertrand curves.

A CLASS OF REVISED BROYDEN ALGORITHMS

In this paper, we discuss the convergence of the Broyden algorithms with revised search direction. Under some inexact llne searches, we prove that the algorithms are globally convergent for continuously differentiable functions and the rate of convergence of the algorithms is one-step superlinear and n-step second-order for uniformly convex objective functions.

在凸度量空间内,对广义拟压缩映射定义了带误差的Ishikawa迭代,证明了带误差的Ishikawa近代收敛于广义拟压缩映射的唯一不动点。     

The coseismic displacement field of the Zhangbei-Shangyi earthquake mapped by differential radar interferometry

The coseismic deformation produced by 1998 earthquake (M_s = 6.2) in Zhangbei-Shangyi of northern China is measured by the differential synthetic aperture radar interferometry (D-InSAR) technique using the European Remote Sensing satellite (ERS) SAR data. Interferograms are constructed from the ERS-1/2 SAR data by the three-pass method. The line-of-sight displacement map indicates that the deformation center of the earthquake is located at E114°20′, N40°57′, with the maximum uplift of 25 cm. The extent of the displacement is around 300 km². The focal mechanism and earthquake-induced structures are analyzed based on the spatial distribution of the deformation. The results give new insights into the seismic mechanism study.
