Variability and reduction of atmospheric pollutants in Beijing and its surrounding area during the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games

The Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Atmospheric Environment Monitoring Network was established by the Institute of Atmospheric Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences. The goals of the network were to monitor and provide warnings of the atmospheric quality in Beijing and its surrounding area during the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games. The results showed that the atmospheric complex pollution exhibited high concentrations of ozone and fine particles and oxidation in summer, with a ubiquitous regional source. The regional mean concentrations of SO₂, PM_2.5, NO₂, and O_{3_8h max} (the maximum daily 8 h mean) and O_x were 22±11, 90±40, 25±5, 136±35 and 112±21 μg/m³ in summer, respectively. During the Olympic Games, the mean concentration of SO₂, PM_2.5, NO_{2, O3_8h} max, and O_x were 12.5±4, 56±28, 23±4, 114±29, 95±17 μg/m³ in the region, respectively, and fell by 51.0%, 43.7%, 13%, 20.2%, and 18.9%, respectively, compared to the prophase mean before the Olympic Games. The concentration of atmospheric pollutants declined significantly and achieved the “Green Olympics” control goal of air quality. After the Olympic Games, SO₂, PM_2.5 and NO_x increased significantly as the temporary atmospheric pollution control measures were terminated.     

A Layered Zone Routing Algorithm in Ad Hoc Network Based on Matrix of Adjacency Connection

The hybrid routing protocol has received more attention recently than the proactive and the reactive, especially for large-scale and highly dynamic connection, in mobile ad hoc network. A crucial reason is that zone-layered is being utilized in the complex systems. A hybrid routing algorithm which is layered zone based on adjacency connection（LZBAC） is put forward under the background of a few members in network with steady position and link. The algorithm modifies storage structure of nodes and improves routing mechanism. The theoretical analysis and simulation testing testify that the algorithm costs shorter time of route finding and less delay than others.

一种特殊结构永磁摆动电机的设计

研究了一种用于主动防护、光学成像等系统的一种永磁摆动电机的设计方法,其特点是永磁体切向充磁。以经典磁路计算方法,推导计算了反电势、力矩、电枢电感等电机特有参数。仿真结果表明在电机工作摆动范围内反电势与力矩波形均为平顶波,并得出了各参数的运算公式。用Maxwell2D软件进行有限元建模仿真分析,验证了各项磁路计算公式。该摆动电机功率密度较高,可靠性高,控制方式简单。     

Analysis of PCA Method in Image Recognition with MATALAB

The growing need for effective biometric identification is widely acknowledged.Human face recognition is an important area in the field of biometrics.It has been an active area of research for several decades,but still remains a challenging problem because of the complexity of the human face.The Principal Component Analysis(PCA),or the eigenface method,is a de-facto standard in human face recognition.In this paper,the principle of PCA is introduced and the compressing and rebuilding of the image is accomplished with matlab program.
