The folding process of hen lysozyme: a perspective from the ‘new view’

How a conformationally disordered polypeptide chain rapidly and efficiently achieves its well-defined native structure is still a major question in modern structural biology. Although much progress has been made towards rationalizing the principles of protein structure and dynamics, the mechanism of the folding process and the determinants of the final fold are not yet known in any detail. One protein for which folding has been studied in great detail by a combination of diverse techniques is hen lysozyme. In this article we review the present state of our knowledge of the folding process of this enzyme and focus in particular on recent experiments to probe some of its specific features. These results are then discussed in the context of the ‘new view’ of protein folding based on energy surfaces and land scapes. It is shown that a schematic energy surface for lysozyme folding, which is broadly consistent with our experimental data, begins to provide a unified model for protein folding through which experimental and theoretical ideas can be brought together.     

Preparation and Characterization of Temperature-Sensitive Hydrogels Composites by Coating Method

In this study,the hydrogels composites with coatings based on a temperature-sensitive linear copolymer of N-tert-butylacrylamide(NTBA)and acrylamide(AAm)on cotton fabrics have been developed.The cotton fabrics were coated using aqueous solution of the linear copolymer,1,2,3,4-butanetertracarboxylic acid(BTCA)as a cross-linker and sodium hypophosphite(SHP)as a catalyst,followed by drying and curing.The effects of cross-linking reaction conditions in coating process on water-impermeable ability of coated cott...     

淡水白鲳营养需要量的研究

本文报导用蛋白质梯度试验确定淡水白鲳最适饵料蛋白含量，用生长率为指标求得的结果为２７．２３一３７．４０％；结合蛋白质效率与生长率为指标求得的结果为３１．４２％。在此基础上设计正交试验，用生长比速结合蛋白质效率和饵料系数为评价指标确定每１００ｇ淡水白鲳对蛋白质、糖、脂肪、纤维素和无机盐的日需要量分别为１．５７ｇ、１．８９ｇ、０．３０ｇ、０．１０ｇ和０．２０ｇ。     

青海柴达木盆地春小麦蛋白质含量状况调查

分析了柴达木盆地３４份小麦样品共１９个品种（系）的籽粒蛋白质含量，测定结果为：诺木洪农场春小麦蛋白质含量最高，平均为１０．８６％，德令哈地区则含量最低，平均为９．４５％；不同品种中青春８９１蛋白质含量最高，为１２．７４％，瀚海３０４蛋白质含量最低，仅为８．９８％，针对柴达木盆地春小麦蛋白质含量的现状，提出了该地区今后提高小麦蛋白质含量的措施。     

磺化铝酞菁在微量蛋白分析中的应用

利用蛋白质对磺化铝酞菁的吸附特性，建立了一种测量微量蛋白的方法．观测了多种影响因素，并探讨了其机理，与传统方法相比，本法具有简便快速的特点，测定结果较满意．牛血清白蛋白测定的线性范围为０．６７～８．００ｍｇ／Ｌ，检出限为０．５５ｍｇ／Ｌ，精密度为６．７％     

五种疟原虫红内期蛋白的SDS—聚丙烯酰胺电泳

本文用１％ＮＰ－４０提取五种疟的虫（间日疟原虫、恶性疟原虫、食蟹猴疟原虫、伯氏疟原虫、约氏疟原虫）红内期可溶性蛋白组分。各种蛋白提取物经ＳＤＳ－聚丙烯安电泳后氨银染色，所得蛋白图谱经光密度扫描进行分析。实验结果表明五种疟原虫蛋白区带数目及位置各不相同，但两条分子量分别为７２ＫＤ和６４ＫＤ蛋白为五种疟原虫共有区带。在五种疟原虫中，以伯多疟原虫与约氏疟原虫蛋白谱最类似，表明二者种间进化关系较接近。     

金定鸭和南安鸭蛋品的蛋白质凝胶电泳分析

用非解离和解离两种系统分别对金定鸭及南安鸭蛋品的卵清和卵黄的蛋白质进行聚丙烯酰胺凝胶电泳分析，结果表明：卵清和卵黄是两个相对独立的蛋白质体系，二者的蛋白质组成差别很大；卵黄蛋白质的亚基种类多，其大部分蛋白质分子由两个或两个以上亚基构成，而卵清蛋白质有些由多亚基构成，但其亚基种类较少；金定鸭与南安鸭的卵清蛋白质组成及卵黄蛋白质组成具有相近性，但也存在一定的种间差异．
