论英语语法与修辞

语法和修辞既是有区别的,又是相通的。语法是语言的组织规律,它赋予语言以结构系统;修辞是研究语言使用的规律,是和语言的使用目的和使用场合密切相关的。但语法还具有修饰语言的作用,可使语篇的语言具有表情达意、生动、形象、逼真等修辞功效。文章主要从以下6个方面论述语法与修辞的关系。

This paper explores teaching oral English skills from discourse analysis, ,mainly cooperative principle and speech act theory. Different methods of discourse analysis can help English learners gain sociolinguistic and strategic competence in learning speaking English.     

A Brief Analysis of English Public Political Speaking from the Perspective of Structure and Strategies of Discourse

Discourse analysis is the study of how stretches of language considered in their full textual,the aim of discourse analysis is to explain how people construct and comprehend various coherent discourses. English public speaking occurs when one person speaks in English to an different types. Consequently,English public political speaking,the subject of this thesis,is one sub-component in terms of classification of content. This thesis intends to use the methods of discourse analysis to deal with English public political speaking. The analysis reveals that effective public speaker should employ consistent structure and strategies with the subject,content,purpose and situation of speech. This study is of a certain value in instructing how to be a good English public speaker and how to be an effective communicator in English.     

大学英语精读中语篇层次的个案分析

Indirect Sexism in Discourse

This thesis draws attention to one of the most vigorous debate in sociolinguistics,sexism in discourse,despite the chicken-and egg question whether it is our language shape sexism or sexism creates certain language.Unlike most researches conducted in sexism and language in the past,we challenge the traditional notion of linguistic sexism and direct our view to what we call "an indirect sexism" here.We then argue the difference between direct and indirect sexism and depict how such an undercurrent drives secretly and carefully in our daily discourse.
