The genus Chaenostoma (Stimpson, 1858) so far includes four distinct species, i.e. C. boscii (Audouin, 1826), C. lisae (Poupin and Bouchard, 2010), C. punctulatus Miers, 1884, and C. sinuspersici (Naderloo and Türkay, 2011). Chaenostoma java n. sp. is here described as a fifth species from Java (Indonesia) easily distinguished from its congeners by the features of the male first pleopod, the penultimate segment of the male abdomen, and the unique female gonopore. The new species is most similar to C. lisae, but they differ in the morphology of the male chelipeds and female gonopores. Chaenostoma lisae is redescribed and recorded from Madagascar, Mayotte I. and New Caledonia. An identification key for the genus is provided. 相似文献

Three species of Indo-West Pacific pontoniine shrimp from the collection of the Zoological Museum, Copenhagen, have been examined. Two of the species were found to be new, Periclimenaeus mortenseni sp. nov. and P. wolffi sp. nov., from the Kei Islands, Indonesia, and off south west Taiwan, respectively, and are described and illustrated. Remarks, with illustrations, on little known, closely related species, Periclimenaeus pachydentatus Bruce 1969 and P. tridentatus (Miers, 1884), are also included. Platycaris latirostris Holthuis 1952, is recorded from Mauritius for the first time. 相似文献

The taxonomy of the Caridina serrata species group (Caridea: Atyidae) is revised. Neotypes of C. serrata Stimpson, 1860, and C. cantonensis Yu, 1938, are designated. Additional information on Caridina sphyrapoda Liang and Zhou, 1993 is provided. Five new species of the Caridina serrata species group are described, namely Caridina nanaoensis from Guangdong Province, C. apodosis from Hong Kong, and C. yulinica, C. wumingensis and C. mutata from Guangxi Province, all in southern China. A key to all members of the species group is included. 相似文献

The genus Pandalus Leach, 1814, is revised based upon the abundant material from collections in various museums or institutions in the world. Altogether 20 species are recognized which appear to form five groups. Nineteen species are recognized in Pandalus, three of which are described as new: P. curvatus from southern Japan, and P. chani and P. formosanus from Taiwan. Four informal species groups are also recognized within the genus: P. montagui group (P. montagui Leach, 1814; P. borealis Krøyer, 1838; P. goniuruStimpson, 1860; P. jordani Rathbun, 1902; P. tridens Rathbun, 1902; and P. eous Makarov, 1935); P. stenolepis group (P. stenolepis Rathbun, 1902; P. curvatus sp. nov.); P. hypsinotus group (P. hypsinotus Brandt, 1851; P. danae Stimpson, 1857; P. prensor Stimpson, 1860; P. gracilis Stimpson, 1860; P. gurneyi Stimpson, 1871; P. nipponensis Yokoya, 1933; P. teraoi Kubo, 1937; P. chani sp. nov.; and P. formosanus sp. nov.); and P. platyceros group (P. platyceros Brandt, 1851; and P. latirostris Rathbun, 1902). The P. platyceros group appears to be most closely related to the genus Pandalopsis Bate, 1888, but Pandalus is retained as a possible paraphyletic group. Protandrous hermaphroditism is known in all but two species of the genus (P. curvatus and P. formosanus), for which only specimens of either male or female have been available. Pandalus propinqvus G. O. Sars, 1870, is transferred to a new monotypic genus Atlantopandalus, because of its lack of hermaphroditism and possession of some unique morphological characters, including one indicating a close relationsip to Dichelopandalus Caullery, 1896. All species are fully described and illustrated. The affinities and important morphological variations of the species are discussed. A key for adults is presented for the identification of the species. Biogeography of the genus is briefly discussed. 相似文献

A new terrestrial isopod, Cephaloniscus sociabilis gen. nov., sp. nov., from Fraser Hill in central Malaysia, is described and illustrated. The new genus belongs to the family Platyarthridae and is distinguished from other members of the family by the characteristic structure of the cephalon. The specimens were collected from the nest of the termite Hospitalitermes sp. (near medioflavus Holmgren) together with the ant Centromyrmex hamulatus (Karavaiev). 相似文献

The taxonomy of the rare porcellanid crab, Polyonyx cometes Walker, 1887 (Crustacea Decapoda), is reconsidered in the light of fresh material from Singapore, as well as the newly obtained first zoeal stage. Polyonyx cometes possesses numerous adult and larval characters which warrant the establishment of a new genus for the species. The species is confirmed as a commensal of the worm Chaetopterus (Annelida, Polychaeta). 相似文献

Two new genera Monitus gen.nov. and Cuckoldillo gen.nov., a new species of each of Scyphax, Rhyscotus, Filippinodillo, Merulana, Myrmecodillo, and three new species of Acanthodillo are described from Australia. The unavailability of the name Pseudodiploexochus and the confusion concerning the diagnoses of the genera Merulana Budde-Lund and Cubaris Brandt is noted. The synonomy of Merulana and Pyrgoniscus is discussed. 相似文献

The specific name for the New Zealand crab long known as Hemigrapsus edwardsii (Hilgendorf, 1882) has been uncertain because of problems with generic definitions. Resolving this question required examination of the relationships between Brachynotus de Haan, 1835, Heterograpsus Lucas 1849 and Hemigrapsus Dana, 1851. The genus Heterograpsus is an objective junior synonym of Brachynotus since they both have the same type species, Gonoplax sexdentatus Risso, 1827. Comparison of Brachynotus and Hemigrapsus shows that the New Zealand species belongs in Hemigrapsus and should be known as H. sexdentatus (H. Milne Edwards, 1837). 相似文献

Twenty species of Acanthomysis s. l., distributed in Japanese, Korean and Chinese coastal waters, are revised. These species are distinguished from Acanthomysis s. str. by the following characters: the carpopropodus of the endopod of the third to eighth thoracic limbs divided into three to eight subsegments; the exopod of the fourth male pleopod with two long subequal terminal setae; the telson long linguiform or triangular without basal dilated portion and armed with spines throughout margins. On the basis of these characters, the genus Orientomysis, which was revived by Holmquist () and comprised O. japonica and O. mitsukurii, is redefined and recognized to contain the following 18 valid species: O. aokii, O. aspera, O. crassispinosa, O. fujinagai, O. hwanhaiensis, O. koreana, O. leptura, O. meridionalis, O. okayamaensis, O. pseudomitsukurii, O. robusta, O. rotundicauda, O. sagamiensis, O. serrata, O. sheni, O. tamurai, O. tenella, and O. tenuicauda. Acanthomysis longicauda and A. nakazatoi are synonymized with O. rotundicauda and O. japonica, respectively. A new species, O. arenaria, is described from Japan. 相似文献

A new species of the genus Atlantistylis Reyss, (Diastylidae) is described from the Atlantic Frontier Margin (North‐East Atlantic). This is the first record of the genus Atlantistylis from the North Atlantic. The new species Atlantistylis borealis can be recognized by the presence of spines on the frontal and lateral lobes of the carapace combined with their absence on the pereon and pleon; the first pereopods are very long. The small telson with two small apical acuminate setae and the absence of pleopods in the male are characteristic of the genus. 相似文献
