Pollen sterility is commonly found in the intra-specific hybrids of indica and japonica rice, which is one of the main constrains for the utilization of heterosis between indica and japonica. Six loci controlling the pollen sterility of F1 between indica and japonica have been identified from previous studies. Neutral alleles at each locus are potential to overcome the F1 pollen sterility associated with the locus. Therefore, exploitation and utilization of neutral alleles are of significant importance. The present research was based on fine mapping of the F1 pollen-sterility gene Sb and the abundant genetic diversity of Oryza rufipogon Griff. indigenous to Gaozhou, Guangdong Province (referred to as Gaozhou wild rice). Crosses were made using Taichung65 (with the genotype of Sb^jSb^j and referred to as El) and its near-isogenic line of F1 pollen sterility gene Sb(with the genotype of Sb^iSb^i, E2) as female parents, and 12 different accessions of Gaozhou wild rice as male parents. F1 pollen fertility was examined to identify the materials having the neutral alleles at the F1 pollen-sterility locus. Segregation of 4 molecular markers tightly linked with the Sb locus was analyzed in the F2 populations derived from the FlS carrying the neutral gene. The pollen fertility related to the 3 genotypes of the molecular markers was also checked by statistical test to determine whether it was consistent with the hypothesis. The results showed that the pollen fertility of two F1s from one accession of Gaozhou wild rice (GZW099) with E1 and E2 was (89.2±21.07)% and (85.65±1.05)%, respectively. Both of them were fertile and showed no significant difference by t-test. Segregation of the 3 genotypes of the 4 molecular markers followed the expected Mendelian ratio (1:2:1) in the F2 populations. There was no significant difference for the averaged pollen fertility of the plants related to the 3 genotypes, suggesting that no interaction exists between the alleles at the Sb locus in GZW099 and Taichung65 or E2. Evidentially, GZW099 carried the neutral gene (named Sb″Sb″) at the Sb locus, which provides valuable theoretical basis and resources for further studying and overcoming the sterility of indica-japonica hybrids.  相似文献

从甘蓝型油菜与诸葛菜属间杂种后代中获得一个芥酸含量低、亚油酸含量较高的雄性不育材料S90— 8—7.细胞学研究表明 ,S90— 8—7的染色体数为 2n =38,其花药发育受阻于四分体至单核花粉期 ,属单核败育型 .小孢子发育到单核期后 ,不再向前发育成为二核期和三核期花粉 ,而是逐渐退化以至解体 .在减数分裂后期Ⅰ /末期Ⅰ一些细胞出现落后染色体或染色体桥 .不育系绒毡层延迟退化 ,一直到单核小孢子晚期才迅速解体 .初步认为S90— 8— 7可能是一个细胞核雄性不育材料 ,其不育性至少受一对隐性基因控制 .  相似文献

Actin plays an important role in the life activity of animal and plant cells. Pollen cells have plenty of actin whose structure and characteristics are very similar to the animal actin. The nucleotide sequence and amino acid sequence of plant actin gene are very similar to those of the animal gene. The content of pollen actin from male sterile plants is much more lower than that from its maintainer plants. The expression of actin gene is organ-specific during the plant development. The expression quantity of actin gene in pollen is much more higher than those from root, stem and leaf. The expression plasmid of the anti-sense actin gene was constructed, transferred to the protoplasts of wheat and tomato to inhibit the expression of actin gene in pollen and thus the male sterile plants of wheat and tomato were obtained. The actin in pollens from the transgenic plants was reduced significantly, whereas the pistil was not affected. This study might pave a new way to breeding male sterile lines for the application of hybrid vigor of wheat and tomato.  相似文献

波纹巴非蛤雄性生殖腺 (精巢 )由树枝状分枝的生殖泡囊、生殖管和输精管构成 .生殖管反复分枝成生精小管和末端膨大的泡囊 .雄性生殖细胞发生经历精原细胞、初级精母细胞、次级精母细胞、精子细胞和精子等时期 ,精原细胞具有A型和B型两种类型 .对 113个雄性标本生殖腺进行观察 ,发现 10 4个雄性个体 ,9个雌雄同体个体 ,同时首次发现在波纹巴非蛤雌雄同体的同一滤泡中 ,雌、雄生殖细胞呈环形分层区域分布 .初步讨论了雌雄同体现象与性转换现象的关系 .  相似文献

The male copulatory organ is recognized as a significant character for species taxonomy in the sexually reproducing Ostracoda. However, the genus Parapolycope has a simply shaped male copulatory organ consisting almost entirely of just the copulatory duct. In this study, two new species, Parapolycope psittacina sp. nov. and Parapolycope uncata sp. nov., are described, and the characters that have taxonomic value were examined based on a morphological comparison of these new species. Carapace size, shape and surface ornamentation, and the male upper lip are valuable characteristics for species identification. 目的 研究中国土家族成年男性头面部软组织特点.方法 随机抽取80名中国湖南省西部土家族成年男性,拍摄其头面部侧位X线片,选取头面部中线软组织上10个测量点进行厚度测量,并对数据进行统计学处理.结果 土家族成年男性头面部10个测量点的软组织厚度以40~49岁年龄段最厚,其变动范围为(3.46±0.09)~(9.11±0.14)mm.方差分析表明,头面部软组织厚度在相同年龄不同部位之间、同一部位不同年龄之间有显著性差异.结论 土家族成年男性头面部软组织厚度存在部位和年龄差异.  相似文献
