本文对《内蒙古植物志》第五卷唇形科五种植物的学名进行了订正: Schizonepeta deserticola H.C.Fu et Ninbu 应为S.annua(Pall.)Schischk., 作异名处理; Scutellaria rehderiana Dials应为S.alaschanica Tschern; Lamium album L.var. barbatum Franch. et Sav. 应为L.album L.; Clinopodium chinensis (Benth.) O.Ktze 应为C.chinensis (Benth.)O.Ktze subsp. grandiflorum (Maxim.) Hara; Dracocephalum fruticulosum Steph. subsp. psammophilum (C.Y.Wu et W.T. Wang) H.C.Fu et Sh. Chen 应为D.fruticulosum Steph.     

几种微量DNA定量测定方法的比较

本研究通过对溴乙淀染色、紫外分光光度计和高效液相色谱(HPLC)等方法的比较,找出了适用于不同情况下,微量DNA的最佳测定方法:1.紫外分光光度计,能准确测量纯净的、浓度在1μg/mL以上的DNA浓度;2.在有标准DNA的情况下,溴乙淀染色法能粗略区别1～5ngDNA;3.HPLC能够快速、准确检测0.21ng以上的DNA,此法简便、灵敏、不受杂质干扰,且能同时对多种微量DNA进行分离和定量。     

Computational empiricism

I argue here for a number of ways that modern computational science requires a change in the way we represent the relationship between theory and applications. It requires a switch away from logical reconstruction of theories in order to take surface mathematical syntax seriously. In addition, syntactically different versions of the same theory have important differences for applications, and this shows that the semantic account of theories is inappropriate for some purposes. I also argue against formalist approaches in the philosophy of science and for a greater role for perceptual knowledge rather than propositional knowledge in scientific empiricism.The term computational empiricism was suggested to me in conversation at a philosophy conference in Venice, Italy in June 1991 by someone whose name I have unfortunately forgotten. It seemed to capture perfectly the set of techniques I had described in my talk there, and I have since adopted it. I thank the originator of this term, whoever he is.     

一类四边形的有理距点问题

通过指出杜和邓的证明过程的失误,说明Steinhaus整距点问题至今仍然是没有解决的公开问题.利用数域的扩张和Galois群的一些结论,研究了边长的平方为有理数,且一组对角之和为2kπ/n的四边形,其中kn,gcd(k,n)=1,n≥7,n≠8,10,12.证明了平面上不存在这样的点,到该四边形的4个顶点的距离的平方均为有理数.     

Values,standpoints, and scientific/intellectual movements

Feminist standpoint empiricism contributes to the criticism of the value-free ideal by offering a unique analysis of how non-epistemic values can play not only a legitimate but also an epistemically productive role in science. While the inductive risk argument focuses on the role of non-epistemic values in the acceptance of hypotheses, standpoint empiricism focuses on the role of non-epistemic values in the production of evidence. And while many other analyses of values in science focus on the role of non-epistemic values either in an individual scientist's decision making or in the distribution of research efforts in scientific communities, standpoint empiricism focuses on the role of non-epistemic values in the building of scientific/intellectual movements.

A curious disagreement: response to Hoyningen-Huene and Oberheim

In this response, doubts are expressed relating to the treatment by Hoyningen-Huene and Oberheim of the relation between incommensurability and content comparison. A realist response is presented to their treatment of ontological replacement. Further questions are raised about the coherence of the neo-Kantian idea of the world-in-itself as well as the phenomenal worlds hypothesis. The notion of common sense is clarified. Meta-incommensurability is dismissed as a rhetorical device which obstructs productive discussion.
