A Maturing of Systems Thinking? Evidence from Three Perspectives

This paper reviews trends in systems theory/thinking from the 1970s to the early 2000s. It proposes a maturation of the field based on certain conceptual and methodological advances that have sought to liberate systems thinking from earlier strictures. An edited dialogue among three prominent systems thinkers from different systems schools—Merrelyn Emery, Bob Flood, and Eric Wolstenholme—provides evidence. Similarities and differences are identified, complementarities among the schools are derived and analyzed, and trajectories for future research are indicated.

The Third Track of the Open-Systems-Thinking School: An Application of Domain Theory to New Zealand Ports

The Open-Systems Thinking (OST) school identified with Emery and Trist is situated as an important but underutilized approach in systems thinking. The main features of OST are described, including four "tracks" along which OST has developed. The third track, which focuses on interorganizational domains, is considered in detail. It is then applied to a case concerning the complex social dynamics of and in port domains in New Zealand. This exercise enables us to illuminate some lacunae in previous representations of the port domain research, to assess OST's third track regarding its relevance for systemic practice, and to help to bring OST to the table with other systems approaches that are all vying for the attention of researchers, practicing managers, students, and consultants.     

有无植物条件下明渠水流紊动特性对比

在可变坡水槽中，模拟了带枝杈植物对明渠水流的干扰作用，借助超声多普勒流速仪（ADV）测量了不同水深下垂线不同测点的瞬时流速，计算了各测点的三维时均流速、脉动强度及雷诺应力等紊动参数，通过与无植物干扰的明渠均匀流紊动特性进行对比，分析植物对水流紊动参数的影响规律。试验结果表明：在有植物明渠水流中，时均流速呈三区分布特征；脉动强度及雷诺应力均在植物顶部附近出现最大值；脉动强度明显增大，在3个方向上趋于接近；可以用植物顶部以上的雷诺应力分布推求摩阻流速。     

开放式位置控制系统实验平台

为了解决目前电机拖动类实验装置价格昂贵,开放性能不好的缺点,文中提出了一种开放式位置实验平台,并对其软、硬件结构进行了讨论。该平台已在实践中得到了验证。     

基于AMD和爆破荷载耦合作用下的深凹露天矿边坡失稳研究

AMD是化工(金属)矿边坡体破坏的一种特殊方式,与爆炸应力波共同对边坡体产生作用.新桥深凹露天矿边坡岩体的原位剪切试验、点载荷试验、室内模拟AMD作用试验表明:AMD蚀化后的石英砂岩,岩体层面间的抗剪强度和粘聚力减小的幅值约为13.2%～21.3%;层面间内摩擦角减小幅值在5.0%～7.5%之间;AMD一般影响垂直边坡体内部在60～100 m范围内的岩体力学性质.数值分析表明:(1)AMD对边坡体的作用主要集中在弱化区域内,边坡体的底脚和AMD作用中心区域的剪切应力减少了52.0%和64.7%;(2)随着边坡体高度和距离的增加,远场爆炸应力波对边坡扰动幅值的增加趋势明显,边坡顶部和断层部位的响应突出,损伤效应明显;边坡底脚扰动幅值最小,临空面附近台阶的扰动幅值明显大于边坡体内部;(3)AMD与爆破荷载耦合作用后,边坡体内部的应力分布主要呈现出爆炸应力场的特征,AMD影响区域形成了一个剪切应力弱区.台阶顶部最大剪切应力比单一爆炸应力场增加了1.63倍,形成了一个不稳定的弱区.图12,表3,参14.     

沥青路面再生机微波加热机理及数值模拟

针对开口微波场中沥青混凝土路面微波加热机理的探讨，从麦克斯韦波动方程、热力学微分方程出发，建立了开口微波场中微波透射沥青混凝土路面材料时的三维有源非稳态加热模型．利用热力学第一边界条件，选用时域差分法求解耦合的麦克斯韦波动方程及热力学偏微分方程组，得到了各种加热条件下沥青混凝土路面材料中的温度场．实验发现，数值计算的结果与实验结果相当吻合，验证了沥青混凝土路面三维有源非稳态微波加热模型的正确性，为开发可用于沥青混凝土路面再生等大尺寸复合电介质微波加热设备提供了理论基础、设计方法和实验依据．     

加大实验室的开放力度培养高素质创新人才

实验室开放是目前国内高校实验室改革和发展的大趋势,对提高学生的实践能力、动手能力、创新能力、综合素质和培养高素质创新人才具有非常重要的作用,文中介绍了国外实验室开放情况和国内实验室开放的现状,存在的问题以及西南石油大学实验室开放的措施和取得的成果。其目的是引起各高校的高度重视并制定切实可行的办法提高实验室开放的力度。     

Design of a 3-tier smart middleware system for ubiquitous sensor networks

As ubiquitous sensor networks (USN) technologies and its middleware are still at its early stages, the system of the USN relies on the middleware and applications. The past sensor networks are assumed to be designed for specific applications, having data communication protocols tightly coupled to applications. To avoid these problems, several kinds of USN middleware have been researched and developed. However, most middleware of USN are still restricted by its own infrastructure so far. This paper proposes appropriate 3 tier Smart Middleware System (3SMS) for USN.
