Nanostructured thermoelectric materials: Current research and future challenge

The field of thermoelectrics has long been recognized as a potentially transformative power generation technology and the field is now growing steadily due to their ability to convert heat directly into electricity and to develop cost-effective, pollution-free forms of energy conversion. Of various types of thermoelectric materials, nanostructured materials have shown the most promise for commercial use because of their extraordinary thermoelectric performances. This article aims to summarize the present progress of nanostructured thermoelectrics and intends to understand and explain the underpinnings of the innovative breakthroughs in the last decade or so. We believed that recent achievements will augur the possibility for thermoelectric power generation and cooling, and discuss several future directions which could lead to new exciting next generation of nanostructured thermoelectrics.     

小麦秸秆粉碎装置的粉碎性能试验分析

秸秆粉碎装置是秸秆还田机的主要工作部件,本文利用自行设计的秸秆粉碎试验台,以壳体包角、刀辊转速、动定刀间隙为三个试验因素,以粉碎质量、粉碎功耗为试验指标,对小麦秸秆进行了粉碎试验,建立了粉碎质量和粉碎功耗的数学模型,分析了粉碎装置结构、运动参数对粉碎质量、粉碎功耗的影响规律,优化确定了粉碎装置的最佳结构和运动参数,为秸秆还田机提供了依据。     

面板数据分析方法对购买力平价检验的实证研究

以15个国家货币实际汇率为研究对象,对其进行面板单位根检验和面板协整检验,检验它们在布雷顿森林体系瓦解后的1979～2006年期间内是否满足购买力平价（PPP）。检验结果显示,这些样本基本都支持购买力平价的成立。

Calibration: Modelling the measurement process

Calibration procedures establish a reliable relation between the final states (‘indications’) of a measurement process and features of the objects being measured (‘outcomes’). This article analyzes the inferential structure of calibration procedures. I show that calibration is a modelling activity, namely the activity of constructing, deriving predictions from, and testing theoretical and statistical models of a measurement process. Measurement outcomes are parameter value ranges that maximize the predictive accuracy and mutual coherence of such models, among other desiderata. This model-based view of calibration clarifies the source of objectivity of measurement outcomes, the nature of measurement accuracy, and the close relationship between measurement and prediction. Contrary to commonly held views, I argue that measurement standards are not necessary for calibration, although they are useful in maintaining coherence across large networks of measurement procedures.

MATLAB在幂型几何亚式期权定价中的应用

针对幂型几何亚式期权,在存在连续红利的条件下,分别给出期权价格解析式解的MATLAB语言和二叉树模型、三叉树模型数值解的MATLAB语言,从而可从计算机语言的角度简化一类新型期权的定价过程。通过实证研究,分析三种算法所得结果的差异及参数对结果的影响程度,验证了算法的有效性,可为相关幂型期权的产生和定价提供一定的理论依据。     

甘南地区局域供电网稳定性分析

研究了小水电并网运行后给大电网安全稳定运行带来的影响,通过建立小水电模型和电压稳定数学模型对并网后的电压稳定性进行了计算分析,并分析了电力系统负荷连续增长情况下对电力系统电压稳定的影响,找出影响电力系统电压稳定的主要原因.     

Successful visual epistemic representation

In this paper, I characterize visual epistemic representations as concrete two- or three-dimensional tools for conveying information about aspects of their target systems or phenomena of interest. I outline two features of successful visual epistemic representation: that the vehicle of representation contain sufficiently accurate information about the phenomenon of interest for the user's purpose, and that it convey this information to the user in a manner that makes it readily available to her. I argue that actual epistemic representation may involve tradeoffs between these features and is successful to the extent that they are present.
