Foucault's interpretive analytics of power 1,2

In this paper an interpretation of Foucault's work on power is presented. One aim is to introduce this aspect of Foucault's work to the emerging debate on Critical Systems Thinking. Another goal is to clarify how Foucauldian discourse about power can be framed within the notion of “interpretive analytics” (a term that describes Foucault's work, conceived by Dreyfus and Rabinow). This metalogical thinking proposes that archaeological and genealogical dimensions are proper methods for the study of the History of Thought. The interpretive space of experience-in which knowledge, power, and self are the axes of experience-is presented as a comprehensive model of the critical task of the History of Thought. Foucault's work is analyzed according to this model. Two conceptions of power arise from this analysis: the first conception is a peripheral view of power which raises key questions that drive the second, microphysical conception of power. We then demonstrate how the latter absorbs the former. The microphysical conception is based on a nominalistic view, which raises issues about nominalism in Foucault's critical thinking. These are addressed at the end of the article.     

Inhibition of virus multiplication and alteration of cyclic AMP level in cell cultures by flavonoids

The inhibitory effect of four flavonoid compounds on virus multiplication and their influence on the intracellular cyclic AMP (cAMP) level were studied in cell cultures. Quercetin and quercitrin reduced the yields of Human (alpha) herpesvirus 1 (HSV-1) and Suid (alpha) herpesvirus 1 (pseudorabies virus), but hesperidin and rutin had no effect. Further, quercetin and quercitrin elevated the intracellular level of cAMP, whereas hesperidin and rutin did not alter the cAMP level. Both antiviral activity and cAMP-enhancing effect were dependent on the concentrations of the flavonoids, and these effects turned out to be parallel. This study suggests that a relation exists between the antiviral effect and the cAMP-enhancing activity of flavonoids.     

Binding of (125I) triiodothyronine to human peripheral leukocytes and its internalization

Ultrastructural autoradiography showed high specific binding of (125I) triiodothyronine, as confirmed by a competition test, to plasma membranes, nuclei and mitochondria of human peripheral leukocytes. A high level of binding was also noted on the granulocytes' granules, especially in eosinophils.     

军事目标红外图像的形状识别系统

随着目标自动跟踪、识别技术的发展,对目标特征提取技术的要求变得愈来愈高,基于目标形状的跟踪、识别系统的发展非常迅速。本文针对目标红外图像的特点,提出了一种新的目标形状分类、识别系统,该系统包括目标图像预处理、目标分割提取、目标边界探测以及目标形状分类、识别。系统中,我们采用一种均值——中值混合滤波方法来消除噪音的影响,利用峰谷法分割提取目标,进而提取目标的边界,在目标边界提取的基础上,提出了边距离分布特征的概念用于目标的分类、识别。
