A Study of Interface Pressure at the Seamed Area of Pressure Garments

Pressure garments constructed with elastic fabric play an important role in burn rehabilitation by helping to prevent or reduce the formation of hypertrophic scars. For clinical effectiveness, these garments are made in appropriate size for individual patient in order to provide an appropriate amount of skin-and-garment interface pressure on the patient.The seam area of pressure garments has marked impact on the comfort and durability of the pressure garments.Comments from the patients and occupational therapists have indicated that discomfort arose in the seam zone.Line marks appeared on the skin of patients under the seamed areas of pressure garments. This may be caused by uneven or Iocalised interface pressure at the seamed area. In this paper, the changes of interface pressure between the seamed and unseamed areas were investigated. Subjective and Objective Measurements to select Fabric for Child Patients' Garment

This paper studies on fabrics suitable for child patients'garment in the hospital environment in Hong Kong,China.Subjective measurement was carried out by questionnaire survey to consult medical staff on hospital requirement about fabric criteria for child patients' garment. On the other hand, objective measurement was conducted by performing laboratory tests on fabrics,which were sourced from commercial fabric market. Both measurements are evaluated according to the results on those fabric criteria in order to determine the most suitable kind of fabric for the end purpose. As a result of the comparison, it was found that T/C 1 scores the highest index. Therefore, it will be suggested for manufacturing child patients' garment to evaluate the fabric suitability to meet the wearers' requirement through hospital trial.     

Analysis and Design for Unsymmetrical Block Encryption Algorithm

This article explains the imbalance in DES and introduces the operators in IDEA. At last it puts forward a Unsym-metrical Block Encryption Algorithm which is achieved by adding some operators to DES.     

A Study of the Behaviour of Denim Cloth Made from Modified Rotor Spun Yarn

This paper described the physical behaviour of three types of denim cloths produced from rotor yarn, ring yarn and modified rotor yarn (prepared by adding conventional twist to rotor yarn) respectively. Experimental work showed that denim cloth produced from the modified rotor yarn has superior properties over conventional rotor yarn in terms of surface texture and appearance,tearing strength and resistance to abrasion.     

Store Environment: Its Importance and Consumers' Expectations on Ca-sual - wear Chain Stores in Honk Kong

This study attempted to examine the importance of storeenvironment in affecting consumers'store choice deci-sion;the relative importance among the three environ-mental factors;and consumers'expectations on store en-vironment for the casual-wear chain stores in HongKong.Julie Baker's Three-category framework onstore environments namely ambient,design and socialfactors was adopted for investigation.The results indi-cated that the store environment was important in affect-ing consumers'selection of store for shopping.It alsorevealed that social factor was perceived relatively im-portant than ambient and design factors.Nine store ex-pectation dimensions were categorised and the resultdemonstrated that most respondents were concerned onthe social aspect in their expectation of having a satisfy-ing store environment.     

Buyer - seller Relationships in Hong Kong's Clothing Industry

The aim of this study is to examine the buyer-seller re-lationship in Hong Kong's clothing industry.The initialpart investigated the industry's environment.Four hy-pothesis were developed which were based on the long-term buyer-seller relationships'features.The benefitsthat can enjoy within the stage of long-term buyer-seller relationships was the defined and suggested.     

Distortional Properties of the Bijective Pattern Map (Part II: Change of Reference)

This is the part n of the study of distortion property of the Bijective Pattern Map maps. In part I, the generic distortion was presented. In this article, the distortion using different set of reference points and pre - image is compared with the result in part I. Moreover, the distortion induced by a change of reference is illustrated with examples. The formulation of the relationship between the distortion and the Gaussian curvature will be followed.     

快淬NdFeB永磁合金的晶化行为

采用动态差示扫描量热法（ Ｄ Ｓ Ｃ） 和 Ｘ 射线衍射法（ Ｘ Ｒ Ｄ） 研究了快淬 Ｎｄ Ｆｅ Ｂ合金的晶化行为。非晶态 Ｎｄ８ ．５ Ｆｅ８６ Ｂ５ ．５ 合晶化由三个过程组成,各转变有效晶化激活能分别为４ ．８ｅ Ｖ、１５ ．２ｅ Ｖ 和５ ．４ｅ Ｖ。非晶态 Ｎｄ７ ．５ Ｄｙ１ Ｆｅ８５ Ｂ４５ Ｇａ２ 合金直接由非晶态转变为α－ Ｆｅ和 Ｎｄ２ Ｆｅ１４ Ｂ 相,有效晶化激活能为５ ．８ｅ Ｖ。     

斜置旋耕试验装置研制

研制了可实现七种角度调节的斜置旋耕试验台。建立了斜置旋耕负荷测量系统,能满足不同运动学参数、不同刀辊斜置角下的旋耕扭矩、水平分力、垂直分力、轴向分力以及旋耕刀转角的测试要求。     

欠发达地区区域创新体系发展的方向与建议--从区域创新形态入手

本文在将区域创新系统划为六大类型态的基础上,通过引证中国发达地区与欠发达地区的区域创新主流形态,分析欠发达地区创新形态的结构问题,提出有助于欠发达地区创新形态转变的战略平衡建议。
