A new approach to model financial markets

This paper deals with the problem of how to take full use of prices information to model financial markets. A range decomposition technique is proposed to decompose the returns into two components. It is proved theoretically that these two components are bi-directional Granger causality, which makes it convenient to establish a vector autoregressive model (VAR). Both simulations and empirical studies are performed, and the results are consistent with the theoretical ones. The range decomposition approach presented in this paper is more efficient in information employment and suggests a new framework to model financial markets.     

Nonsingularity of the combinations of two orthogonal projectors

The invertibility of combinations of two orthogonal projectors is researched by using the CS-decomposition of matrices and properties of orthogonal projectors. The Moore-Penrose inverse of the combinations is presented under some special conditions.

梳冬夜蛾和白边切夜蛾卵抗寒性研究

对梳冬夜蛾和白边切夜蛾卵的过冷却点、结冰点和不同低温强度及持续时间等指标的冷冻处理测定结果:梳冬夜蛾卵过冷却点为-18.76±4.09℃,结冰点为-17.7±5.02℃;白边切夜蛾卵的相应指标分别为-8.13±3.17℃和-7.15±3.09℃。两种蛾卵在一定的低温条件下,处理时间愈长,卵孵化率愈低;随着低温强度加大,卵孵化率明显降低。

Mitochondria1 cytochromeb sequences variation of Protura and molecular systematics of Apterygota

Mitochondrial cytochromeb genes of about 450 bp fragments from 3 proturan species, 5 collembolan species and 2 dipluran species have been sequenced. The number of nucleotide substitutions and Kimura 2-parameter distances have also been calculated, and a series of molecular phylogenetic trees reconstructed by using parsimony and distance methods. The proturan, collembolan and dipluran species have evolved monophyletic groups. The results suggest that Protura and Collembola are sister groups, while Diplura is more or less demonstrating a closer phylogenetic relationship to the pterygotan insects. The phylogeny and their systematic position of protura and other groups are also discussed.
