Zusammenfassung Ein Vergleich der aktiven Aufnahme und Phosphorylierung von 2-deoxy-d-glucose im normalen Uterusmuskel und im Myomata des Menschen zeigte, dass beide Gewebe den Zucker unter Energieaufwand aufnehmen. The article investigates the different conceptions of stability found in qualitative studies on the solutions of differential
equations. We start from the definitions proposed by Poincaré and criticized by Birkhoff for not being fully qualitative,
and show that the clarification of the criterion for stating that a property is qualitative comes precisely with Birkhoff.
In addition, we note that the stability conceptions of Lyapunov and Levi-Civita are also important in this transition from
the appearance of the first qualitative tools in the study of differential equations to the definition of stability in use

Influenza viruses are remarkably adept at surviving in the human population over a long timescale. The human influenza A virus continues to thrive even among populations with widespread access to vaccines, and continues to be a major cause of morbidity and mortality. The virus mutates from year to year, making the existing vaccines ineffective on a regular basis, and requiring that new strains be chosen for a new vaccine. Less-frequent major changes, known as antigenic shift, create new strains against which the human population has little protective immunity, thereby causing worldwide pandemics. The most recent pandemics include the 1918 'Spanish' flu, one of the most deadly outbreaks in recorded history, which killed 30-50 million people worldwide, the 1957 'Asian' flu, and the 1968 'Hong Kong' flu. Motivated by the need for a better understanding of influenza evolution, we have developed flexible protocols that make it possible to apply large-scale sequencing techniques to the highly variable influenza genome. Here we report the results of sequencing 209 complete genomes of the human influenza A virus, encompassing a total of 2,821,103 nucleotides. In addition to increasing markedly the number of publicly available, complete influenza virus genomes, we have discovered several anomalies in these first 209 genomes that demonstrate the dynamic nature of influenza transmission and evolution. This new, large-scale sequencing effort promises to provide a more comprehensive picture of the evolution of influenza viruses and of their pattern of transmission through human and animal populations. The mouse mutation fragilitas ossium (fro) leads to a syndrome of severe osteogenesis and dentinogenesis imperfecta with no detectable collagen defect. Positional cloning of the locus identified a deletion in the gene encoding neutral sphingomyelin phosphodiesterase 3 (Smpd3) that led to complete loss of enzymatic activity. The homologous membrane proteins Rom-1 and peripherin-2 are localized to the disk rims of photoreceptor outer segments (OSs), where they associate as tetramers and larger oligomers. Disk rims are thought to be critical for disk morphogenesis, OS renewal and the maintenance of OS structure, but the molecules which regulate these processes are unknown. Although peripherin-2 is known to be required for OS formation (because Prph2-/- mice do not form OSs; ref. 6), and mutations in RDS (the human homologue of Prph2) cause retinal degeneration, the relationship of Rom-1 to these processes is uncertain. Here we show that Rom1-/- mice form OSs in which peripherin-2 homotetramers are localized to the disk rims, indicating that peripherin-2 alone is sufficient for both disk and OS morphogenesis. The disks produced in Rom1-/- mice were large, rod OSs were highly disorganized (a phenotype which largely normalized with age) and rod photoreceptors died slowly by apoptosis. Furthermore, the maximal photoresponse of Rom1-/- rod photoreceptors was lower than that of controls. We conclude that Rom-1 is required for the regulation of disk morphogenesis and the viability of mammalian rod photoreceptors, and that mutations in human ROM1 may cause recessive photoreceptor degeneration. 相似文献
