Summary During a chronic lead intoxication of the white rat, intranuclear inclusions appear in the convoluted tubules of the kidney. Following the administration of H³-cytidine and H³-l-phenylalanine in direct intranuclear inclusions an incorporation of the precursors cannot be observed at all by autoradiography.

Changes in composition of etheric lipids during brain development

Résumé On a étudié les lipides éthériques dans la capsule interne, la région interlobaire et la substance blanche du lobe pariétal et temporal. On a constaté qu'vant la myélinisation la concentration des ces lipides est supérieure dans la capsule interne tandis qu'après le lobe temporal présente la plus haute concentration par rapport aux autres régions étudiées. Ces fluctuations expriment probablement l'instabilité lipidique des membranes cellulaires se trouvant à l'extérieur de la myéline.     

The synthesis and some pharmacological effects of serine4-isoleucine8-oxytocin,a probable neurohypophysial hormone

Zusammenfassung Ser⁴-Ile⁸-oxytocin wurde synthetisiert und in einer Anzahl pharmakologischer Teste geprüft. Dieses synthetische Peptid zeigt relativ hohe oxytocinartige und sehr geringe vasopressinartige Aktivitäten. Die Befunde sind vereinbar mit der Annahme, dass Ser⁴-Ile⁸-oxytocin das oxytocinähnliche Hormon der Hypophyse von Knochenfischen sein könnte.

Summary After glucagon and tolbutamide administration, the protein synthesis in the nucleus increases, especially in the B- but to a lesser extent also in the A-cells. Similar effects are noted in the cytoplasma of B-cells. Already 2 h following alloxan premedication, there is no activity in the nucleus and cytoplasm of B-cells, whereas in the A-cells they are markedly labelled.     

The effect of neonatal thymectomy in the induction of experimental autoimmune thyroiditis in the rat

Résumé Les rats Sprague-Dawley ont developpé une thyroïdite autoimmune caracterisée par l'infiltration de cellules lymphoïdes dans la thyroïde, qui fait suite à l'injection de thyroglobuline bovine, d'adjuvant complet de Freund et deBordetella pertussis. Les rats nouveau-nés thymectomisés révélèrent une tendance nettement moindre à développer la thyroïdite.
