Studies on the quaternary structure of the first enzyme for histidine biosynthesis

Resumen Se han realizado estudios de asociación-disociación por filtración en gel con el primer enzima de la biosíntesis de histidina enEscherichia coli, en presencia de sustratos y ligandos. Se observa una interconversión reversible entre las formas dímero, tetrámero y exámero, y una agregación irreversible de orden superior.     

Alteration of humoral antibody production following in vivo administration of phytohemagglutinin

Zusammenfassung Es wird gezeigt, dass Phythämagglutinin (PHA) die Antikörperbildung gegenBrucella abortus bei der Maus merklich herabsetzt, aber nur dann, wenn PHA vor dem Antigenstimulus verabreicht wird und die immunologische Zweitreaktion (secondary response) unverändert bleibt.

Improved synthesis of bradykinin

Zusammenfassung Eine neue Methode zur Entfernung der Schutzgruppe von N^G-Tos-Arg mittels wasserfreier Flußsäure und ihre Anwendung für die Synthese von Bradykinin wird beschrieben.     

Influence of a mixture of chemical protectors on the lymphopoietic and hematopoietic system of mice irradiated with a dose of 2000 R of X-Rays

Résumé La moelle osseuse, la rate et le thymus montrent, 30 jours après une dose de 2000 R de rayons X et un traitement préalable avec une association d'AET, de glutathion, de 5-hydroxytryptamine et de cystéine, un aspect histologique et cytologique normal. Au même moment, la régénération des ganglions et des plaques de Peyer est bonne mais moins avancée.

Einfluss von angiotensin auf das argentaffine system des meerschweinchens

Summary The duodenum of guinea-pigs were dissected immediately after death and incubated for 10 min at 37 °C in a solution of Krebs-Ringer-Bicarbonate buffer, in which Hypertensin (CIBA) was added. The result was that the argentaffine cells were more numerous after the incubation period, as compared with the controls. The 2 controls were pieces placed into the solutions of Formalin and blank Krebs-Ringer-Bicarbonate buffer.
