This paper introduces a new aggregation model by using induced and heavy aggregation operators in distances measures such as the Hamming distance. It is called the induced heavy ordered weighted averaging (OWA) distance (IHOWAD) operator. This paper studies some of its main properties and a wide range of particular cases such as the induced heavy OWA (IHOWA) operator, the induced OWA distance (IOWAD) operator and the heavy OWA distance (HOWAD) operator. This approach is generalized by using generalized and quasi-arithmetic means obtaining the induced generalized IHOWAD (IGHOWAD) operator and the Quasi-IHOWAD operator. This Research Note seeks to add to the body of knowledge concerning social sustainability in work organizations, especially within the context of new challenges and threats in contemporary, post‐industrial working life. Moreover, the intention is to explore the added value of the complexity lens in promoting social sustainability at work. Work organizations are conceptualized as Chaordic systems to make accessible some aspects of organizations' structure and dynamics important for social sustainability. In this paper we examine how soft systems methodology (SSM) can benefit the initial identification and communication of new computer game concepts between those involved in its development. Computer games are a multi‐billion pound worldwide part of the entertainment industry. However, they are a relatively new type of software product and as such the manner in which they are designed and developed is still evolving. Computer games can be highly complex software systems that involve the expertise of a wide range of professionals ranging from programmers to animators, artists and musicians. When designing computer games, new game concepts can be difficult to communicate. Boulding's Skeleton of Science (a systems framework) is used to demonstrate first that several levels of disciplines are necessary for holistic research, and secondly that this can be applied to addressing issues concerning emerging infectious disease (EID). A literature review gathered a list of possible contributing risk factors for EID. Those factors were matched to the levels of disciplines in Boulding's Skeleton of Science to show that different risk factors must be studied by a combination of disciplines to adequately address the occurrence of infectious disease. An analysis of one international health policy document is also included to determine the range of disciplines represented in that document. Using a multidisciplinary (systemic) approach demonstrated advantages that complement and overcome the limitations of modern epidemiology. Recommendations for the inclusion of a multidisciplinary epidemiological approach are made, followed by some reflections on the conclusions drawn from this research, and suggestions for future work. This paper supports the inclusion of Christianity in the European constitution. It does this by analysing the role that an ethical vision plays in sustaining a community and the impact on other critical factors such as ethics, work, management, social structure and education that ensues when vision is undermined. It examines in particular the contribution that the Christian vision has made to communities in the past and the systemic role it can play in ensuring their long‐term viability today. The study applies a multi‐modal systems framework to analyse the links between the vision and these critical factors and projects that may unfold in communities once they lose their vision. Fibroblast growth factor-2 (FGF-2) is a member of a large family of proteins that bind heparin and heparan sulfate and modulate the function of a wide range of cell types. It has been proved that FGF-2 stimulates the growth and development of new blood vessels (angiogenesis) that contribute to the pathogenesis of several diseases (i.e. cancer, atherosclerosis). However, many of the biological activities of FGF-2 have been found to depend on its receptor抯 intrinsic tyrosine kinase activity and second messengers such as the mitogen activated protein kinases.
