Multiple lactate dehydrogenase alleles in the LizardAgama stellio

Zusammenfassung Es wurde das gehäufte, geographisch begrenzte Auftreten multipler Allele für LDH-H, das bei den bisher untersuchten Organismen nur selten Varianten zeigt, nachgewiesen. Ebenso gelang die Identifizierung von elektrophoretischen Varianten in Abhängigkeit vom pH.     

Elektronenmikroskopische Beobachtungen bei experimenteller Poliomyelitis

Summary The lumbar motor columns of a cynomolgus monkey which had become tetraplegic after infection with a highly virulent strain of type 3 poliovirus were examined by electron microscopy. Within the cytoplasm of many endothelial cells of intraspinal blood vessels, as well as within the perikarya of numerous mononuclear inflammatory cells, there occurred regular arrays of dense particles which, on the basis of morphological evidence, could be identified as poliovirus crystals. The possible significance of virual replication by endothelial and mononuclear cells for poliovirus spread within the central nervous system is briefly discussed.     

Pancreozymin/cholecystokinin a physiological mediator of gastric secretory inhibition of duodenal origin

Résumé La Pancréozymine-cholécystokinine (PZ) augmente la sécrétion de l'acide gastrique stimulée par la méthacholine, mais diminue la réponse acide à la gastrine pentapeptide. L'acidification de l'anse Thiry-Vella du duodénum fait augmenter pareillement la sécrétion acide de la poche d'Heidenhain stimulée par la méthacholine et la diminue quand le stimulant est de la gastrine pentopeptide. Il est bien connu que l'acidification du duodénum libère le PZ de la muqueuse duodénale. Nos résultats suggèrent que le PZ est l'agent médiateur d'abaissement de l'acidité gastrique après acidification du duodénum.

The inhibition of the dye-sensitized photoinactivation of trypsin using tyrosine and thyronine analogues

Zusammenfassung Es wurde Tyrosin- und Thyroninwirkung auf die farbensensibilisierende Photoinaktivierung des Trypsins untersucht. Sensibilisatoren waren Methylenblau, Flavinmononukleotid und Eosin Y. Die Analoge von Tyrosin und Thyronin haben sehr ähnliche konzentrationsabhängige Schirm wirkung bei Verwendung von Flavinmononukleotid als Photosensibilisator. Die Abschirmungseffekte der Sensibilisatoren werden besprochen.
