Yaw attitude of eclipsing GPS satellites and its impact on solutions from precise point positioning

During the period when a GPS satellite, the Earth and the Sun are approximately collinear, the phenomenon of eclipsing the satellite occurs, when the satellite yaw attitude deviates from its nominal case, i.e. the body X-axis cannot point towards the Sun for Block II&IIA or away from it for Block IIR satellites. The yaw attitude of the eclipsing satellites has a significant influence on both the satellite clock estimation at each International GNSS Service (IGS) Analysis Center (AC) and for users of the precise point positioning (PPP) implementations. It is known that, during the eclipsing periods, inconsistent yaw attitude models among the ACs will contribute to the errors of the IGS combined clock products. As for the PPP user, the influence of the eclipsing satellite is two-fold. First, as the satellite clocks are always kept fixed during PPP implementation, the above-mentioned problematic IGS clocks will inevitably be passed on to the PPP estimates. Second, the improper yaw attitude modeling of the eclipsing satellite will cause a correction bias exceeding 1 dm for the two kinds of attitude-related systematic errors, namely the phase wind-up and satellite antenna phase center offset, which will further deteriorate the accuracy of the PPP solutions. A yaw attitude model is introduced in this paper with the aim of improving the reliability of PPP solutions during the satellite eclipsing period.

鉴于传统路面设计及评价方法的局限性,基于逆向工程技术思想,提出沥青路面的逆向设计方法,并给出了相应的设计流程.在充分掌握原路面特征的基础上,具体介绍了材料准备、芯样扫描分析、路面重塑的整个过程,并利用独立开发的新型路面材料加速加载试验系统进行磨耗试验,测定重塑路面抗滑性能的变化.然后,引入相似理论,通过比较发现重塑路面各项指标与原路面相似度较高,从而证明了该设计方法的可行性、合理性和可靠性.路面养护处治后,抗滑性能的熵值增大,说明表面处治将使系统内部子系统功能更加趋于一致,整体结构更加稳定.

Physical model of fluid flow characteristics in RH-TOP vacuum refining process

To understand the characteristic of circulation flow rate in 250-t RH-TOP vacuum refining process, the l:4 water model test was established through the bubble behavior and gas holdup in the up-leg to investigate the effects of different processes and equipment parameters on the RH circulation flow rate. With the increases of lifting gas flow rate, lifting bubble travel, and the internal diameter of the up-leg, and the decrease of nozzle diameter, the work done by bubble floatage and the circulation flow rate increase. The expression of circulation flow rate was derived from the regression analysis of experiment data. Meanwhile, the influences of vacuum chamber pressure and nozzle blockage situation on the circulation flow rate were discussed in detail by the bubble behavior and gas holdup in the up-leg. It is necessary to maintain a certain vacuum chamber liquid level in the molten steel circulation flow. Compared with a nozzle with symmetrical blockage in the up-leg, when a nozzle with non-symmetrical blockage is applied, the lifting gas distribution is non-uniform, causing a great effect on the molten steel circulation flow and making the circulation flow drop largely.

Cinobufacini-induced HeLa cell apoptosis enhanced by curcumin

When used in combination with certain chemotherapies, curcumin has been shown to increase apoptosis in several cancer cell lines. Here, we report the combined effects of curcumin and cinobufacini on human cervical carcinoma cells. The aim of this study was to examine whether curcumin could enhance apoptosis induced by cinobufacini. 3-(4,5-Dimethylthiazol-2-y1)-2,5- diphenytetrazolium bromide (MTT) assays revealed that the growth and proliferation of HeLa cells could be inhibited by 75% after a combined treatment of 25 μg/mL cinobufacini and 8 μg/mL curcumin. The combined treatment is 3 times more effective than treatment with 25 μg/mL cinobufacini alone. Annexin V-FITC/PI staining, morphological changes and immunofluorescence verified a significant enhancement in cinobufacini-induced apoptosis when cells were also exposed to curcumin. The data showed that the proportion of early apoptotic cells significantly increased from 15.43% in cells treated only with 25 μg/mL cinobufacini to 49.2% in cells treated with 25 μg/mL cinobufacini and 8 μg/mL curcumin. Moreover, compared with treatment of only 25 μg/mL cinobufacini, ROS production increased 1.7-fold, the intracellular free Ca 2+ concentration increased 1.5-fold, and the mitochon- drial membrane potential decreased by 20% in the combined treatment. Simultaneously, the atomic force microscopy (AFM) re- sults suggest that cells treated with a combination of cinobufacini and curcumin varied significantly in shape and ultrastructure. Collapsed cells with leaking cytoplasm, blebbing pores and emerging apoptotic bodies were prevalent. The nanoparticle size increased from 70 nm when the cells were treated with 25 μg/mL cinobufacini to 190 nm when the cells were treated with 25 μg/mL cinobufacini and 8 μg/mL curcumin. The size increase resulted in the cell membrane becoming considerably rough. These results can improve our understanding of combination treatments. Specifically, the combination of cinobufacini and curcumin may potentially find use as a novel cervical carcinoma treatment. Additionally, AFM is a powerful tool that can be used to explore cellular morphologies and ultrastructures.
