Special forms of amitotic nuclear division in striated muscle and other insect tissues

Résumé On décrit quelques aspects morphologiques de l'appareil nucléaire des fibres musculaires striées des insectes. Le nom Polykaryonéma est proposé pour désigner les noyaux filamenteux géants qui par fragmentations successives produisent des chaÎnes de noyaux indépendants, placées dans le centre des fibres musculaires adultes. Ce phénomène offre un bon exemple de division nucléaire amitotique.

Zusammenfassung Aus dem Saft des BaumesHura crepitans wurde eine Fraktion gewonnen, die wahrscheinlich ein Lipoglykoprotein ist und hämagglutinierende und toxische Eigenschaften besitzt.     

Sex attractant of the larch bud moth found by electroantennogram method

Zusammenfassung Mit Hilfe der Antennogramm-Methode wurdetrans-11-Tetracedenylacetat als spezifisches Attraktans für Männchen des LärchenwicklersZeiraphera diniana bestimmt. In geeigneter Konzentration ist die Attraktivität der synthetischen Substanz derjenigen virginer Weibchen ebenbürtig.

Decrease of mast cells in regional lymph nodes in response to allogeneic antigens and syngeneic tumor antigens

Summary The absolute number of mast cells in regional lymph nodes decreases on the 5th day after stimulation by allogeneic lymphocytes and semisyngeneic leukaemic cells, despite the enlargement of stimulated lymph nodes. It is postulated that the reaction of lymphatic mast cells could be a sensitive test for tissue incompatibility, and probably also for the presence of tumor associated antigens.
