细菌与细菌之间的信息交流--革兰氏阴性细菌的Quorum-Sensing系统

人们长期以来一直认为细菌是以单个细胞的方式生存于自然界的.但是,自从10年前研究人员发现细菌与细菌之间存在着相互间的信息交流后,人们改变了对细菌的生存方式和其生理习性的认识.细菌其实是具有协同作战能力的多细胞习性微生物,而这种能力的形成需要依赖细胞与细胞之间的信息交流.细菌之间的信息交流涉及到细菌的多种生理功能、细菌致病能力以及细菌对抗菌素的耐药等方面.因此,了解和研究细菌的这一机制,阻断其信息交流,也许能达到削减细菌毒力的目的.文中将借助国外的最新报道,结合作者的研究成果,介绍细菌与细菌之间信息系统的由来,该系统的调节机制,研究该系统的手段、意义以及前景展望等.     

Some Open Problems in Parameterized Complexity Related to the Work of Jianer Chen

This short paper highlights some open problems related to the work of Jianer Chen in the area of parameterized/multivariate algorithmics.     

Dynamic Dominating Set and Turbo-Charging Greedy Heuristics

The main purpose of this paper is to exposit two very different, but very general, motivational schemes in the art of parameterization and a concrete example connecting them. We introduce a dynamic version of the DOMINATING SET problem and prove that it is fixed-parameter tractable（FPT）. The problem is motivated by settings where problem instances evolve. It also arises in the quest to improve a natural greedy heuristic for the DOMINATING SET problem.     

Stimuli-responsive polymeric materials for human health applications

Stimuli-responsive polymers have the extraor- dinary ability to change their physical and/or chemical state after they ＂detect＂ a change in their environment; their response depends dramatically on their chemical compo- sition. This property has been used for a plethora of applications; this review highlights their utility for human health. Specifically, this review will highlight efforts in the areas of sensing and biosensing, antimicrobial/antifouling coatings, tissue engineering and regenerative medicine, and drug delivery. Specific examples are given in each of these areas, with some focus on our work engineering poly（N- isopropylacrylamide）-based microgels and other respon- sive systems.     

Optimal Multimodel Representation by Laguerre Filters Applied to a Communicating Two Tank System

This paper presents the development of a new nonlinear representation by exploiting the multimodel approach and the new linear representation ARX-Laguerre for each operating region. The resulting multimodel, entitled ARX-Laguerre multimodel, is characterized by the parameter number reduction with a recursive representation. However, a significant reduction of this multimodel is subject to an optimal choice of Laguerre poles characterizing each local linear model ARX-Laguerre. Therefore, the authors propose an optimization algorithm to estimate, from input/output measurements, the optimal values of Laguerre poles. The ARX-Laguerre multimodel as well as the proposed optimization algorithm are tested on a continuous stirred tank reactor system (CSTR). Moreover, the authors take into account a practical validation on an experimental communicating two tank system (CTTS).     

新疆旅游业对经济增长影响的实证分析

近年来,旅游业已经成为很多地区拉动经济增长的重要产业之一。新疆具有浓郁的民族风情以及各种得天独厚的旅游资源,这为旅游业蓬勃发展提供了坚实基础。首先介绍了新疆旅游业的基本发展状况及趋势;其次,针对新疆2005-2017年的统计数据,运用Stata14.0软件对该数据进行多元回归,分析了旅游业对地区经济增长的贡献,并对新疆经济增长与旅游业之间的影响机制进行研究;最后根据实证分析得出的结论,提出了若干对策建议。     

Wolves in sheep’s clothing: three new cases of aggressive mimicry in Red Sea coral reef fishes

ABSTRACT

Here we document three cases of mimicry in coral reef fishes not previously reported in the literature involving two groupers (Epinephelus leucogrammicus and Plectropomus marisrubri) and a soapfish (Diploprion drachi) as mimics, and two wrasses (Larabicus quadrilineatus and Cheilinus quinquecinctus) and a blenny (Meiacanthus nigrolineatus) as models. All three cases are of aggressive mimicry, with a predatory species mimicking a harmless one, and in one of the cases, the mimicry is also Müllerian, where both the predator and harmless species are unpalatable.     

Theoretical Studies of Thermodynamic Properties of Clusters
