Multiplicity of monoamine oxidase in chick brain

Summary The substrate- and inhibitor-related characteristics of monoamine oxidase (MAO) were studied on chick brain mitochondria. It was found that neither 5-hydroxytryptamine nor -phenylethylamine is the specific substrate for type A and type B MAO in chick brain.     

Structural changes of deoxyribonucleoprotein fibres following gamma-irradiation under aerobic and hypoxic conditions.

The DNP fibres gamma-irradiated under aerobic condition showed a reduction of their diameter, while no remarkable changes were observed in the DNP fibres irradiated under hypoxic condition by scanning electron microscopy.     

Effect of air ionization on blood serotonin in vitro

Summary The effect of negative and positive air ionisation on siliconized blood serotonin was studied in vitro. The experiments showed that within 10 min positive ionisation increased serotonin levels in total blood (+40%), plasma (+90%), erythrocytes (+50%) and thrombocytes (+200%). On the other hand, negative ionization (10 min) lowered the serotonin content of total blood (–30%), plasma (–42.5%), erythrocytes (–41.7%) and thrombocytes (–72.3%), thus confirming the Krueger Effect in vitro.This research was generously supported by a grant from the Joint Research Fund of the Hebrew University and Hadassah, and Dr. and Mrs.Leonard Appleby of Palmbeach, Florida.Acknowledgment: Our thanks are due to Mr.B. 聚3-丁酰基吡咯偶氮苯甲烯的非线性光学性能

通过3 丁酰基吡咯单体与4 醛基4’ 二甲氨基偶氮苯的缩聚反应合成了一种侧链含偶氮基团的新型聚吡咯甲烯衍生物———聚[(3 丁酰基吡咯 2,5 二)对二甲氨基偶氮苯甲烯](PBPDMAABE).与无取代基的聚[(吡咯 2,5 二)对二甲氨基偶氮苯甲烯]相比,该聚合物的溶解及成膜性能得到了很大的改善.PBPD MAABE的分子结构通过氢核磁共振谱和红外光谱得到了确认.由聚合物紫外 可见吸收光谱测得其光学禁带宽度为1 82 eV.采用后向简并四波混频(DFWM)技术测试了聚合物溶液与薄膜的三阶非线性光学性能,其浓度为3 65×10-5 mol/L的氯仿溶液和薄膜的三阶非线性极化率分别为 2 12×10-8 esu和 3 91×10-8esu.通过理论计算可得 PBPDMAABE 的二阶超分子极化率和非线性折射率分别为 2 68×10-25 esu 和5 47×10-7 esu.实验结果表明,PBPDMAABE具有优良的非线性光学性能.     

多Agent组织的一种矩阵结构

借鉴人类现代组织理论，给出了Agent组织的一种矩阵模型描述。相比层次结构的组织，加强了组织横向之间的联系，增加了管理幅度，减少了组织的层次，从而降低了交互通信代价，提高了组织的求解效率和组织对外部环境的快速反应能力。     

关于高层民用建筑消防系统水压问题的探讨

通过对现行上行下给单设水箱式室内消防供水系统设计方法的研究,指出其存在的问题,并提出了改进措施.     

热挤压AZ91D镁合金的组织与力学性能

对直径φ50mm铸态AZ91D合金棒材在603K下进行单次热挤压，获得了直径φ14mm的棒材。用OM、SEM和TEM分析热挤压前后组织的变化，研究热挤压对其组织与性能的影响规律。结果表明，热挤压变形可以细化其微观组织，显著提高AZ91D合金的抗拉强度（σb、σ0.2）、伸长率（δ）及硬度（HB）。在此过程中合金α-Mg相有足够的独立滑移系可以启动，棱面滑移和基面滑移共同作用发生局部大变形，α-Mg沿挤压方向呈细条带状，β—Mg12，Al12相分布于α-Mg条带间。然而，经单次挤压不可能得到均匀的变形组织，从边缘到中心，组织渐变，边缘组织细小，心部组织粗大。
