Some factors modifying the action of chlorpromazine upon the O2 uptake of brain homogenatesin vitro

Zusammenfassung Largactil vermindert auch in niedrigen Konzentrationen (10⁻⁶ g/ml der Krebs-Ringer-L?sung mit 0,2% Glukose) den Sauerstoffverbrauch von Gehirnhomogenaten weisser Ratten signifikant. Diese depressive Wirkung von Largactil tritt nicht ein, wenn die Krebs-Ringer-L?sung ohne Glukose oder ein kalziumfreies Medium zu den manometrischen Messungen gebraucht werden. Weiterhin hat Largactil eine antagonistische Wirkung gegen 2,4-Dinitrophenol in bezug auf die O₂-Aufnahme von Gehirngewebe.

Summary Moxnidazole [3-(5-nitro-1-methyl-2-imidazolyl)-methyleneamino-5-morpholinomethyl-2-oxazolidinone, HCl], known to be mutagenic in microbial tests andDrosophila, induced genetic alterations in somatic cells of mice. 镝—钛铁试剂—CTMAB—聚丙烯酰胺荧光体系的研究

本文将聚丙烯酰胺(PAM)应用于多元络合物荧光分析中。探讨了醇等有机溶剂对镝(Dy)—钛铁试剂(Tiron)—溴化十六烷基三甲胺(TMAB)—PAM荧光体系的溶剂化效应,讨论了体系的荧光增强机理。结果表明,PAM的吸附作用以及醇等低介电常数的有机溶剂对络合物微区静电环境的影响使荧光反应的灵敏度大大提高。可望建立一些高灵敏度的荧光测定体系。用本法测定镝的最低检测限达1×10~(-9)M(1.6×10~(-4)μg/ml),对稀土样品中镝的测定结果令人满意。

本文给出计算和设计重力式热管换热器所需的主要公式与数据,并在此基础上给出计算机框图,根据实验与经验资料得出的计算与设计程序可以得出热管元件与换热器的外型图,这种图可直接应用于生产,为热管换热器的设计提供快速而准确的方法。

Zusammenfassung Der durch Hyperventilation ausgelöste Milchsäureanstieg bleibt bei vergleichbarer Senkung des pH in Hypothermie aus, solange dabei der OH^–/H⁺-Quotient bzw. die relative Alkalinität nachRahn ² konstant bleibt. Stärkere Hyperventilation, die zu einer Zunahme des OH^–/H⁺-Quotienten führt, löst dagegen auch in Hypothermie einen Milchsäureanstieg aus.     

WNT7b mediates macrophage-induced programmed cell death in patterning of the vasculature

Macrophages have a critical role in inflammatory and immune responses through their ability to recognize and engulf apoptotic cells. Here we show that macrophages initiate a cell-death programme in target cells by activating the canonical WNT pathway. We show in mice that macrophage WNT7b is a short-range paracrine signal required for WNT-pathway responses and programmed cell death in the vascular endothelial cells of the temporary hyaloid vessels of the developing eye. These findings indicate that macrophages can use WNT ligands to influence cell-fate decisions--including cell death--in adjacent cells, and raise the possibility that they do so in many different cellular contexts.
