利用自动解离分析方法研究硫化铜尾矿的矿物学特征:谦比希铜矿尾矿的实例研究

As ore grades constantly decline, more copper tailings, which still contain a considerable amount of unrecovered copper, are expected to be produced as a byproduct of froth flotation. This research reveals the occurrence mechanism of copper minerals in typical copper sulfide tailings using quantitative mineral liberation analysis (MLA) integrated with scanning electron microscopy–energy dispersive spectroscopy (SEM–EDS). A comprehensive mineralogical characterization was carried out, and the results showed that almost all copper minerals were highly disseminated within coarse gangue particles, except for 9.2wt% chalcopyrite that occurred in the 160–180 μm size fraction. The predominant copper-bearing mineral was chalcopyrite, which was closely intergrown with orthoclase and muscovite rather than quartz. The flotation tailings sample still contained 3.28wt% liberated chalcopyrite and 3.13wt% liberated bornite because of their extremely fine granularity. The SEM–EDS analysis further demonstrated that copper minerals mainly occurred as fine dispersed and fully enclosed structures in gangue minerals. The information obtained from this research could offer useful references for recovering residual copper from flotation tailings.

Effects of point mutation C→T at - 64 of human δ globin gene promoter on DNA binding proteins

By electrophoretic mobility shift assay (EMSA), the effect of point mutation C→T at - 64 of human δ-globin gene on its binding proteins has been studied. Two segments of 36 bp from - 83- - 48 bp of the 6 globin gene promoter, named WOG and MOG, were synthesized. WOG includes wild type CAAT-like box (CCAAC), while MOG includes the mutant CAAT-like box (CCAAT, -64 C→T). Results indicate that: ( i ) in erythroid cell lines MEL, K562 and Hemin induced K562, the affinity of MOG with CCAAT binding protein (CBF) and GATA-1 was greatly increased; ( ii ) in Hemin induced K562 cell line, there were another two novel specific DNA binding proteins, named C and D temporarily, besides the above two factors. The former was combined with WOG and MOG, likely indicating its relation with the increased gene expression after induction. The latter was only combined with MOG, which had possible relationship with the point mutation of - 64 C→T; ( iii ) EMSA also indicates that the suppression mechanisms of the expression of 6 globin gene is different in various periods of human developments. The result evidently supports the hypothesis that the defect CAAT-like box in human 6 globin gene contributes the main reason of its low level expression. The defect c/s-acting element CAAT-like box affects gene expression by its combination with the frans-acting element CBF and GATA-1.     

High sidelobe effects on interferometric coherence for circular SAR imaging geometry

The coherence is a measure for the accuracy of the interferometric phase,and the synthetic aperture radar(SAR) interferometric coherence is affected by several sources of the decorrelation noise.For the circular SAR(CSAR) imaging geometry, the system response function is in the form of the Bessel function which brings a high sidelobe,and the high sidelobe of CSAR will be an important factor influencing the interferometric coherence. The effect of the high sidelobe on the coherence is analyzed and deduced.Based on the interferometric characteristics of the slight difference in the viewing angles and the potential pixel offset in the interferometric SAR(InSAR) images,a relation between the radar impulse response and the coherence loss function is derived. From the relational model,the coherence loss function due to the high sidelobe of CSAR is then deduced,and compared with that of the conventional SAR.It is shown that the high sidelobe of CSAR focusing signal will severely affect the baseline decorrelation and coregistration decorrelation.Simulation results confirm the theoretical analysis and quantitatively show the baseline and coregistration decorrelation degradation due to the high sidelobes of CSAR.
