A framework for personalized adaptive user interest prediction based on topic model and forgetting mechanism

User interest is not static and changes dynamically. In the scenario of a search engine, this paper presents a personalized adaptive user interest prediction framework. It represents user interest as a topic distribution, captures every change of user interest in the history, and uses the changes to predict future individual user interest dynamically. More specifically, it first uses a personalized user interest representation model to infer user interest from queries in the user’s history data using a topic model; then it presents a personalized user interest prediction model to capture the dynamic changes of user interest and to predict future user interest by leveraging the query submission time in the history data. Compared with the Interest Degree Multi-Stage Quantization Model, experiment results on an AOL Search Query Log query log show that our framework is more stable and effective in user interest prediction.     

Surface modification of Ti-45Al-8.5 Nb alloys by microarc oxidation to improve high-temperature oxidation resistance

Microarc oxidation(MAO)electrolysis plasma deposition was used to prepare Al_2O_3coatings on Ti-45Al-8.5 Nb alloys to improve high temperature oxidation resistance.The surface and cross-section morphologies before and after high-temperature oxidation,the chemical composition,and the phase identification of the coatings were investigated by scanning electron microscopy(SEM),electron probe microanalyses(EPMA),and X-ray diffraction(XRD).The results show that Al_2O_3coatings with a thickness of approximately 8μm can be obtained on the Ti-45Al-8.5 Nb alloys by MAO for 600 s.The samples with the Al_2O_3coatings exhibited better high-temperature oxidation resistance.A minimal weight gain of only 0.396 g/m~2after 100 h oxidation at 900°C was observed for the coatings formed with a deposition voltage of 400 V and using a duty cycle of 3%.The deposition mechanism of the Al_2O_3coatings and the effect of the MAO parameters are also described.     

Privacy Quantification Model Based on the Bayes Conditional Risk in Location-Based Services

The widespread use of Location-Based Services(LBSs),which allows untrusted service providers to collect large quantities of information regarding users’locations,has raised serious privacy concerns.In response to these issues,a variety of LBS Privacy Protection Mechanisms(LPPMs)have been recently proposed.However,evaluating these LPPMs remains problematic because of the absence of a generic adversarial model for most existing privacy metrics.In particular,the relationships between these metrics have not been examined in depth under a common adversarial model,leading to a possible selection of the inappropriate metric,which runs the risk of wrongly evaluating LPPMs.In this paper,we address these issues by proposing a privacy quantification model,which is based on Bayes conditional privacy,to specify a general adversarial model.This model employs a general definition of conditional privacy regarding the adversary’s estimation error to compare the different LBS privacy metrics.Moreover,we present a theoretical analysis for specifying how to connect our metric with other popular LBS privacy metrics.We show that our privacy quantification model permits interpretation and comparison of various popular LBS privacy metrics under a common perspective.Our results contribute to a better understanding of how privacy properties can be measured,as well as to the better selection of the most appropriate metric for any given LBS application.     

Bounding the inefficiency of the C-logit stochastic user equilibrium assignment

Compared with standard logit-based stochastic user equilibrium assignment model, the C-logit model describes route choice behavior in a more realistic way by considering the overlapping effect between routes. This paper investigates the inefficiency upper bounds of this model against the deterministic system optimum and the C-logit stochastic system optimum in terms of the total network travel time. It is found that the commonality factor of overlapping routes significantly affects the inefficiency bound, besides link congestion degree, total demand and the number of feasible routes. If the commonality factor is not considered, the efficiency loss resulting from selfishly stochastic travel behavior will be to large extent underestimated.     

铁矿粉湿容量的概念及其在制粒过程中的应用

适宜的配水量对改善铁矿粉的制粒效果起重要作用。为建立一种简单易行、准确合理的方法,提出了铁矿粉湿容量的概念,即单位质量的矿物在自然堆积的状态下所能保持的最大含水量,并开发出相关测试设备。利用该方法对来自某实际生产过程中的5组混合料进行了测试,得到了每组混合料的湿容量。在实验室规模的设备上进行了5组混合料在不同配水量条件下的制粒实验,并对其透气性进行了检测,得到了每组原料的最佳配水量。对比每组混合料的湿容量和最佳配水量发现：两个参数之间具有很强的正相关性,湿容量大的混合料需要配加更多的水后料层才能达到最佳的制粒效果。还对料层的透气性和粒度分布关系做了讨论。实验发现随着加水量的增多,颗粒制粒后的粒度逐渐增大,料层的透气性先增大后减小。

A genome-wide association study in Chinese men identifies three risk loci for non-obstructive azoospermia

Non-obstructive azoospermia (NOA) is one of the most severe forms of male infertility. Its pathophysiology is largely unknown, and few genetic influences have been defined. To identify common variants contributing to NOA in Han Chinese men, we performed a three-stage genome-wide association study of 2,927 individuals with NOA and 5,734 controls. The combined analyses identified significant (P < 5.0 × 10(-8)) associations between NOA risk and common variants near PRMT6 (rs12097821 at 1p13.3: odds ratio (OR) = 1.25, P = 5.7 × 10(-10)), PEX10 (rs2477686 at 1p36.32: OR = 1.39, P = 5.7 × 10(-12)) and SOX5 (rs10842262 at 12p12.1: OR = 1.23, P = 2.3 × 10(-9)). These findings implicate genetic variants at 1p13.3, 1p36.32 and 12p12.1 in the etiology of NOA in Han Chinese men.
