The reconstruction and interpretations of lake status at 6 ka and 18 ka B.P.in inland mainland Asia

By means of survey of literature through compilations of sedimentological, biogeological and geomorphologic data, the inland lake level changes in arid or semi-arid mainland Asia at 6 and 18 ka B. P. have been reconstructed. The results showed that the lakes from western and northwestern Asia were characterized by very high water levels at 18 ka B. P., but low or intermediate water stands at 6 ka B. P. The high lake level in this region was associated with the southward displacement of westerlies, therefore, the extent of the high lake stand indicated the southern flank of westerlies during the glaciation. Conversely, the lakes from the eastern and southern Asia registered comparative low levels at 18 ka B. P. and significantly high one at 6 ka B. P. The lowering of lake level at 18 ka B. P. was caused by the weakened summer monsoon and the high lake level at 6 ka B. P. by the enhanced summer monsoon induced by the enlarged thermal contrast between land and ocean. The extent of high lake levels indicated the northern boundary of monsoon expansion. Between the above two regions, there is a climatic transitional zone in the Central Asia where the lake behavior was close to that in southeastern Asia at 6 ka B. P. but became similar to that in northwestern Asia at 18 ka B. P. Thus this zone became a transitional sector from the monsoon to the westerlies.     

Double-stream-pouring technique for production of gradient materials by continuous casting

A novel method for producing gradient materials by continuous casting is introduced. By using many-stream-pouring technique, samples with gradient distribution of alloy composition along the cross section have been prepared. The main difference of this method from the conventional continuous casting is the pouring system equipped with two sets of tundishes for liquid metals of different alloy compositions. Special consideration is given to the promotion and control of the crass-sectional mass transport. The steady heat transfer and mass flow ensure a partial mixing of two metals and yield a continously varying composition distribution. By adjusting the processing parameters, composition profile with different shapes can be achieved. First experiments have been carried out in Al-Si system and Al-Cu system for three series of Al/AlSi, AlSi/Al and AlCu/Al. It is shown that the alloy composition, the microntructure and the mechanical property change smoothly from the centre to the surface of the samples. This simple and practical method is potential for mass prodution of “structural gradient materials” and may offer a new way for alloy design.

珊瑚礁坪地形上波生流的流场特性分析

将珊瑚礁坪地形简化为向海坡为1∶1的陡坡,基于SPH方法,建立了波浪在珊瑚礁坪地形上传播的数值波浪水槽,模拟规则波浪在珊瑚礁坪地形上的传播变化过程,分析珊瑚礁坪附近的流场特性,并将数值模拟结果与实验室观测结果进行对比。结果表明,在波浪传播过程中由于水深变浅,波浪发生变形和破碎,在珊瑚礁坪顶周围的水体中将产生一个与波浪传播方向相同的流动。     

基于可信度的投票列表合并算法

在投票系统中,每个投票人按照自己对候选人的认可程度对候选人进行排名,从而得到大量的有序投票列表.为了从这些列表中得到一个综合投票结果,需要找到一种合理有效的列表合并算法,综合分析列表数据并将它们合并为一个综合列表.本文提出一种基于可信度的投票列表合并算法,其基本思路是:通过综合分析投票列表中蕴含的众多排名信息,度量出每个列表中每条排名信息可被采信的程度,简称为可信度,然后基于已经得到的可信度,让那些高可信度的排名信息在综合排名中发挥更大的作用,从而得到一个更好的综合排名结果.实验结果充分表明,本文提出的算法能够更有效地挖掘出排名信息的可信度,从而得到准确度更高的合并结果.     

新型环保PESA钨酸钠复合配方缓蚀阻垢剂的研究

以电厂的循环冷却水为主要对象,通过检测其水质,分析水质特点,选择PESA/钨酸钠等复合配方进行静态阻垢实验旋转瓜片腐蚀实验,结果表明该复合缓蚀阻垢剂配方在不同温度下都保持较高的阻垢性能。     

地震台站科研难点研究

Identification of the thick-layer greigite in sediments of the South Yellow Sea and its geological significances

Magnetic minerals in sediments of the continental shelf are sensitive to environmental changes. Therefore, to determine the exact phases of magnetic minerals is the prerequisite to investigate the paleoenvironmental significances. In this study, a comprehensive rock magnetic investigation, coupled with mineralogical studies, was carried out on the long core NHH01 （with a length of 125.64 m） from the central continental shelf of the South Yellow Sea. Single-domain greigite was identified as the dominant magnetic carrier in sediments between 44.90 and 51.80 m, and terrigenous magnetite is the major magnetic phase in the adjacent layers. The existence of greigite unambiguously indicates an anoxic environment. We tentatively interpreted that such an environment could be formed by the fast sea level changes, longexisting of the cold eddies during warm stages, or in a lake which might be related to locally tectonic uplifting. Therefore, the occurrence of the thicklayer greigite could supply a new perspective to paleoenvironmental or even tectonic studies.
