Foreignization and Domestication in Proverb Translation

Proverbs are culture-loaded linguistic symbols.The E-C/C-E proverb translation involves not only the transfer of language but also the transmission of culture.Through analyzing the necessity of employing foreigniztion instead of domestication in proverb translation,the author holds that foreignization should be mainly employed so as to achieve better conveyance of the cultural peculiarities of both English and Chinese proverbs and wherever necessary domestication should be employed in order to facilitate natural and fluent expression,but domestication should not distort the cultural flavor of the original.

随着现代教育的发展,高等学校实验室的作用显得尤为重要。本文从数字化语音室系统的维护谈起,阐述了实验技术人员在实验教学中的重要地位。并从实践中总结出了数字化语音室系统在使用过程中几种常见故障的排除方法。     

类蝎型吡唑衍生物过渡金属羧酸配合物的合成、结构及热稳定性质

设计并成功合成了2 种新颖的以类蝎型吡唑衍生物为配体的超分子配合物[Co₂(HL¹)₂-(seb)(H₂O)]·2.5H₂O (1)和[Cu(H₂L²)(ox)]·H₂Ox·MeOH (2) (H₂L¹=2,6-二(5-苯基-1H-吡唑-3-基)吡啶, H₂seb=癸二酸, H₂L²=2,6-二(5-甲基-1H-吡唑-3-基)吡啶, H₂Ox=草酸), 并通过元素分析、红外光谱、紫外光谱﹑X 射线粉末衍射(PXRD)和X 射线单晶结构分析对标题配合物进行了表征. 结构分析表明, 在配合物1 和2 中, 配体H₂L¹ 和H₂L² 的配位模式不同, 其中H₂L¹ 以μ₂-η¹-η¹- η¹-η¹ 模式与金属相连, 而H₂L²以μ₁-η¹-η¹-η¹ 的模式与金属相连; 癸二酸和草酸的配位模式也不同, 其中癸二酸作为单齿配体, 草酸作为二齿配体; 配合物1 通过C-H···O,O-H···O, N-H···O 氢键, 形成二维网络层状结构, 而配合物2 通过C-H···O, O-H···O, N-H···O氢键, 形成一维链状结构. 此外还对标题配合物的热稳定性进行了详细的分析.     

A Study on System Availability Vs System Administration Efforts with Mathematical Models

Abstract: Two mathematical models are developed in this paper to study the effectiveness of system administration effortson the improvement of system availability, based on the assumption that there exists a transitional state for a computer sys-tem in operation before it is brought down by some hardware or software problems and with intensified system administra-tion efforts, it is possible to discover and fix the problems in time to bring the system back to normal state before it isdown. Markov chain is used to simulate the transition of system states. A conclusion is made that increasing system admin-istration efforts may be a cost-effective way to meet the requirements for moderate improvement on system availability, buthigher demand on this aspect still has to be met by advanced technologies.

英语教学和习俗文化的关系密切。汉语交际的习俗文化以谦虚为得体，而英语交际的习俗文化以感谢为得体。因此，英语教学不能脱离英美社会文化背景。有鉴于此，要努力获取英美社会文化背景知识。在英语教学中，要鼓励学生积极与外教交往，更直接地了解和体验他们的文化；创造英语学习的文化氛围，增强学生的真实交际的能力；鼓励学生广泛阅读英美文学作品原著和报刊杂志；日常会话中，注意体会和感受英美国家的习俗文化。     

英语主位、主位推进模式--语篇的构建与解读

从系统功能语言学角度出发，并结合语篇分析理论，本文探讨语篇的主位、主位结构类型及主位推进模式与语篇构建、解读的关系。同时，本文还指出：在外语教学中，教师应努力引导学生多加注意语篇的主位推进框架，以便提高学生的语篇构建与解读的能力。
