Ionic mechanisms of opposite synaptic actions of an interneuron in the abdominal ganglion ofAplysia

Zusammenfassung Im Abdominalganglion vonAplysia erzeugt ein einzelnes Interneuron monosynaptische Cl abhängige IPSP's in einigen postsynaptischen Neuronen und monosynaptische Na-abhängige EPSP's in anderen Neuronen. Iontophoretisch appliziertes Acetylcholin ahmt diese synaptischen Potentialen in jedem der nachgeschalteten Zelltypen nach.

The properties of neuraminidase-treated crystalline ceruloplasmin

Résumé On sait que la plasmine céruléenne crystalline rétroplacentaire humaine ainsi qua la plasmine apocérulécnne empêchent l'hémaglutination virale. Cet effet pourrait être attribué aux résidus d'acide sialique, car l'action préventive disparaît après traitement de la plasmine céruléenne par la neuraminidase.     

The effect of NADH and NAD+ on the proteolysis of lactate dehydrogenase isozymes by trypsin

Résumé L'effet de la NADH et NAD⁺ sur la protéolyse de la lacticodéhydrogénase isoenzyme 1 (LDH 1) et isoenzyme 5 (LDH 5) par la trypsine fut étudié. Les résultats montrent que la NAD⁺ exerce une protection contre la protéolyse de la LDH 1. Mais ni la NADH ni la NAD⁺ ne protègent contre la protéolyse de la LDH 5.     

Suppression of immunization to tuberculosis and diphtheria by an extract of lymphoid tissue

Zusammenfassung Dank einer neuen Anwendung von Lymphknotenextrakten (statt Röntgenextrakten, Corticosteroiden, Antilymphozytenserum usw.) wird eine erhebliche Reduktion der immunologischen Reaktion erzielt, wenn die Tiere mit diesen Extrakten vorbehandelt und gleichzeitig mit Antigenen behandelt werden.

Effects of fluorinated dinitrobenzenes on erythrocyte membrane acetylcholinesterase

Zusammenfassung Die Acetylcholinesterase der Erythrozytenmembranen wurde mit 1, 5-Difluor-2, 4-dinitrobenzol stärker inaktiviert als mit 1-Fluor-2, 4-dinitrobenzol. Nach Difluordinitrobenzol-Behandlung war die restliche enzymatische Aktivität hitze- und harnstoffunempfindlich. Die Inaktivierung des Fermentes war konzentrations-, zeit- und temperaturabhängig.
