Progressive impairment in high energy phosphate pattern induced by intermittent coronary perfusion

Summary After continuous myocardial ischemia, ATP and CP are both depressed. A different pattern is exhibited in the course of intermittent coronary perfusion. Peroxidase activity in mitochondria of Prototheca moriformis

Summary Peroxidase activity was investigated by the use of diaminobenzidine method in fixed cells of Prototheca moriformis. A strong peroxidase activity was observed in the mitochondria. DAB staining was unaffected by KCN, aminotriazole and antimycin A, but it was completely inhibited by methanol-nitroferricyanide.     

考虑各向异性的土工结构物动力分析

本文首先用共振柱研究小应变动剪切模量的各向异性问题,然后阐述了在土工结构动力分析中如何考虑土动力变形特性的各向异性,最后给出了考虑土动力变形特性各向异性动力分析的实例计算结果,并与通常假定土动力变形特性为各向同性的动力分析的结果进行比较.计算结果表明:对于具有很强各向异性的土工结构物和地基,当需要考虑垂直向振动时目前所用把土动力变形特性假定成各向同性方法得到的结果是偏于不安全的.     

Intracellular topography of immunoreactive gastrin demonstrated using electron immunocytochemistry

Summary Gastrin (G)-producing cells from the mammalian gastric antrum have been investigated using computer-assisted morphometry and a novel double colloidal gold-labeled-immunoglobulin electron immunocytochemical procedure. Correlation analysis of human antral G-cells indicates (p<0.001) that a single population of granules exists with small (160 nm) electron-dense and large (240 nm) electron-lucent forms representing the extremes. Non-crossreacting region-specific antisera have been used to visualize G-17 and G-34 (progastrin) to the small electron-dense granules and G-17 to the other intermediate forms. From the results we propose a topographic segregation of immunoreactive gastrins within 2 apparently distinct granule subclasses and suggest that this may represent the pathway of granule maturation.     

Influence of the enteric surface coat on the unidirectional flux of acetamide across the wall of rat small intestine

In vivo treatment of the jejunal mucosa with glycosidic enzymes seems to remove the enteric surface coat of the enterocyte. As a consequence, the mucosa-to-serosa unidirectional flux of acetamide increases remarkably. The glycocalyx probably represents a barrier to the diffusion of small hydrosoluble solutes.
