The timing of cyclophosphamide therapy in tumor-bearing rats affects the resistance to tumor challenge in survivors

Summary Cyclophosphamide given to rats 2 or 5 days after an injection of Yoshida ascites sarcoma cured approximately the same proportion of animals, but the resistance to a subsequent tumor challenge was found only in rats treated with the drug 5 days after tumor injection.     

Protein degradation in human T-lymphocytes

Summary Protein from resting or phytohemagglutinin-stimulated human peripheral blood T-lymphocytes, pulse-labeled in vitro for 1 h with³H-leucine, had a half-life of 30 h.     

Effects of cerebral lateral,ventricular infusions of phloridzin on feeding and body weight in Gallus domesticus (L.)

Summary Contrary to earlier findings in rats, cerebral lateral ventricular infusions of 1×10^–3 M or 2×10^–3 M solutions of phloridzin at a rate of 2.5 l/min for 90 min had no significant stimulating effects on food intake and weight gain in hens and cocks. These different responses to intraventricular phloridzin might reflect a difference of sensitivity to the inhibitory action of phloridzin on glucose transport in cerebral cells or certain peculiarities of mechanisms controlling food intake in chickens.     

The structure of amoorastatone and the cytotoxic limonoid 12-hydroxyamoorastatin

Summary 2 new limonoid-type terpenes have been isolated from an aqueous extract of seeds produced by the Eastern Himalayan (India) plantAphanamixis grandifolia Bl. By interpreting principally mass spectral and nuclear magnetic resonance data, the structures of 12-hydroxyamoorastatin (2b) and amoorastatone (3) were elucidated. Unequivocal evidence for the 12-hydroxyamoorastatin structural assignment was obtained by chemical conversion to sendanin (4). Amoorastatin derivative2b was found to significantly inhibit growth of the murine P388 lymphocytic leukemia cell lines but amoorastatone in the same system was inactive. In a comparative biological study, sendanin (4) and anthothecol (7) were also found significantly to inhibit growth of the P388 cell line, while rohitukin (8) and limonin (9) were found to be inactive.Part 63 of the series Antineoplastic Agents. 开放性尘源粉尘运动轨迹的数值计算

在对粉尘颗粒在大气中受力状况进行分析的基础上 ,采用颗粒随机轨道模型对尘源表面的粉尘在大气中的运动轨迹进行了数值计算 ,再现了野外现场观测的现象 ,从而证明了数值计算的可靠性 .利用ParticleSourceinCell算法 ,计算了由开放性粉尘造成的大气含尘质量分数 ,为定量预测露天矿粉堆料对环境造成的污染提供了依据 .     

用叠加谱比法研究四川地区Lg尾波Q值的区域性变化

 运用单台叠加谱比法,分析了成都台网4个台站的29个地震记录的垂直分量,反演得出与各射线路径相对应的Lg尾波的Q₀值.结果表明:Q₀值的分布特征与构造活动性密切相关.在构造活动剧烈的龙门山断裂、鲜水河断裂和安宁河断裂,尤其是在这三大断裂的交汇处,Q₀值呈现出相当低的值,约在150～210的范围内.在四川盆地的大部分地区,随着构造活动的减弱,Q₀值有所抬升,约为240～270.在四川盆地的东部,Q₀值可达300.在离开断裂区的四川北部,Q₀值在250～300的范围内变化.     

基坑挡土结构的粒子群优化设计方法

为提高基坑支护结构设计的速度和精度,用模拟自然界鸟群觅食行为的进化算法———粒子群优化算法(PSO)来确定支护结构优化设计方案.研究了基于弹性抗力法的基坑挡土结构的粒子群优化技术:定义在搜索域中的一组可能的基坑设计参数为一个粒子;建立与挡土结构的结构优化设计参数相关联的适应度函数;通过粒子群位置的演变过程来搜索对应最优函数的结构设计参数方法;桩单元长度动态调整的编程技术等.通过工程算例证明了基坑挡土结构粒子群优化设计方法的可行性和适用性.     

Ulmus harutoriensis Oishi et Huzioka角质层特征及古环境意义

根据大量室内实验分析，对产于云南腾冲的植物化石Ulmus harutorensis Oishi et Huzioka的角质层进行了细致研究，揭示了Ulmus harutoriensis叶的表皮构造，其主要特征为：上表皮厚1．1μm，下表皮厚小于1μm，上表皮细胞大于下表皮细胞、毛基少、气孔器很小、只在下表皮发育、无规则型、散生、下陷较浅，在此基础上结合其他资料推测了古气候变化，并与现生Umlus pumila L。同时进行了气孔密度和气孔指数的统计，用生物学的方法推测了古大气CO2浓度，讨论了Berner的碳平衡模型。
