Thermodynamic analysis and formula optimization of steel slag-based ceramic materials by FACTsage software 下载免费PDF全文
Using steel slag as a main raw material of ceramics is considered as a high value-added way. However, the relationship among the initial composition, ceramic microstructure, and macroscopic properties requires further study. In this paper, a series of ceramics with different slag ratios (0–70wt%) were designed, and the software FACTsage was introduced to simulate the formation of crystalline phases. The simulation results indicate that mullite is generated but drastically reduced at the slag ratios of 0–25wt%, and anorthite is the dominant crystalline phase in the slag content of 25wt%-45wt%. When the slag ratio is above 45wt%, pyroxene is generated more than anorthite. This is because increasing magnesium can promote the formation of pyroxene. Then, the formula with a slag content of 40wt% was selected and optimized. X-ray diffraction results were good consistent with the simulation results. Finally, the water absorption and bending strength of optimized samples were measured. 相似文献

Wood-based panels containing urea-formaldehyde resin result in the long-term release of formaldehyde and threaten human health. In this study, inorganic aluminosilicate coatings prepared by combining metakaolin, silica fume, NaOH, and H2O were applied to the surfaces of wood-based panels to obstruct formaldehyde release. The Si/Al, Na/Al, and H2O/Na2O molar ratios of the coatings were regulated to investigate their effects on the structure and formaldehyde-resistant barrier properties of coatings. Results showed that the cracks in the coatings gradually disappeared and the formaldehyde resistance rates of the barrier increased as the Si/Al molar ratio was increased from 1.6 to 2.2. This value also increased as the Na/Al molar ratio was increased from 0.9 to 1.2 because of the improvement of the degree of polymerization. As the H2O/Na2O molar ratio was increased from 12 to 15, the thickness of the dry film decreased gradually and led to the reduction in the formaldehyde resistance rate. When the Si/Al, Na/Al, and H2O/Na2O molar ratios were 2.2, 1.2, and 12, respectively, the inorganic aluminosilicate coating showed good performance as a formaldehyde-resistant barrier and its formaldehyde resistance rate could reach up to 83.2%. 相似文献

Single-crystal elastic constants and mechanical hardness of covalent and ionic crystals have been studied using first-principles calculations. The results show that the hardness is dominated by the softest elastic mode, not by the averaged elastic moduli as generally assumed. It reveals that the mechanical stability and anisotropy play an important role in determining the hardness of materials. The concept is then employed in designing hard alloys. By strengthening the softest elastic mode of tungsten carbide, which is the primary component in industrial hard alloys, we show that the carbide can be made even harder by alloying with nitrogen or rhenium via Fermi-level tuning. 相似文献

Regulated proteolysis by ATP-dependent proteases is universal in all living cells. Bacterial ClpC, a member of the Clp/Hsp100 family of AAA+ proteins (ATPases associated with diverse cellular activities) with two nucleotide-binding domains (D1 and D2), requires the adaptor protein MecA for activation and substrate targeting. The activated, hexameric MecA-ClpC molecular machine harnesses the energy of ATP binding and hydrolysis to unfold specific substrate proteins and translocate the unfolded polypeptide to the ClpP protease for degradation. Here we report three related crystal structures: a heterodimer between MecA and the amino domain of ClpC, a heterododecamer between MecA and D2-deleted ClpC, and a hexameric complex between MecA and full-length ClpC. In conjunction with biochemical analyses, these structures reveal the organizational principles behind the hexameric MecA-ClpC complex, explain the molecular mechanisms for MecA-mediated ClpC activation and provide mechanistic insights into the function of the MecA-ClpC molecular machine. These findings have implications for related Clp/Hsp100 molecular machines. 相似文献

Mature Archean continental crust in the Yangtze craton: Evidence from petrology, geochronology and geochemistry 总被引:3,自引:0,他引:3
Previous studies have shown that the Archean basement is widely distributed throughout the Yangtze craton. To date, however, Archean basement terrains have not been found, except for a few Kongling high-grade metamorphic terrains in the Huangling dome that have been confirmed to be of Archean age. To further understand the basement component and crustal evolution of the Yangtze craton, we carried out a petrological, geochronological and geochemical study of the Jinshan K-feldspar granite emplaced within the Yangpo Group, located in Huji Town, Zhongxiang City, Hubei Province. Results indicate that the zircon SHRIMP U-Pb age of the Jinshan granite is 2655±9 Ma, placing it within the middle Neoarchean. Chemically, this pluton yields abundant silica and alkalis and is depleted in Ca, Mg and Ti. Furthermore, it is enriched in Rb, Th, Ga, Y and Zr, depleted in Sr, Ba, Nb and Ta, and especially lacking in Eu. High ratios of FeO*/MgO (32.0 to 58.7) and 104 ×Ga/Al (3.19 to 3.41) were also found. The pluton exhibits characteristics typical of A-type granites with crustal source magmas. Moreover, the meta-sedimentary rock association of the Yangpo Group, into which the pluton intruded, clearly shows relatively stable depositional environments of a shallow shelf sequence. Therefore, before the middle Neoarchean, the Yangtze craton contained mature continental crust. Nerve regeneration factor (NRF) extracted from an oral liquid of traditional Chinese medicine, as a nerve growth decoction has been reported by previous studies to exert effects of promoting nerve growth and preventing neuron apoptosis. For new insights into the function of NRF on primary cultured neurons, we investigated the neurite outgrowth in cultured rat dorsal root ganglion (DRG) explant treated with NRF by immunofluorescence and the gene and protein expressions of neurofilament-H(NF-H) and growth associated protein 43 (GAP43) in the cultured rat DRG neurons by real-time quantitative RT-PCR and Western blotting, respectively. In addition, we used a rat model of sciatic nerve crush to evaluate the effect of NRF on regeneration of injured sciatic nerve by a combination of walk track analysis, electrophysiological and histological assessments. The in vitro experiments indicated that NRF promoted the neurite growth of DRGs and the expression of NF-H and GAP43 at mRNA and protein levels in DRG neurons, and in vivo experiments showed that NRF improved peripheral nerve regeneration and functional recovery. 相似文献
