2006年2月7～9日，计量学名词审定委员会召开第三次工作会议。计量学名词委王秦平主任、宣湘副主任等20多位专家出席了本次会议。
会议首先由宣湘副主任总结计量学名词审定委员会第二阶段的工作并提出这次会议的工作任务。本次会议重点是完成计量学名词的二审任务。
本次审定的计量学名词涉及整个计量学领域。为此，委员们分为四个审定组，认真审定了本组所负责的相关专业名词，并注意解决专业与专业之间的协调问题。
