In this research project, copper and stainless steel were connected by two laser welding methods: straight seam welding and swing welding. In this study, we investigated the features of latency-amplitude (L-A) functions at different sound frequencies, using extracellular recording from auditory neurons in the central nucleus of the inferior colliculus (ICC) in mice. Isofrequency L-A functions from single neurons could be fit with a newly developed equation based on Pieron’s law. The high degree of fitness indicates that the curvatures of all isofrequency L-A functions for a given neuron are similar, and that the difference between L-A functions is due to a shift in their positions in the coordinate system. When we normalized the L-A functions to match the position of the L-A function obtained at the neuronal characteristic frequency (CF), all isofrequency L-A functions from a given ICC neuron were highly superimposed. The similar shapes of the L-A functions at different frequencies may reflect the physical laws of sound being transferred into bioelectric signals. The position of a non-CF L-A function could be measured as the differences of the asymptotic L and A ( L and A) compared to the L-A function at a reference frequency such as the CF. The nerve fibers and synapses connecting to a neuron for acoustic information processing can be functionally simplified as a single "wire" (as the total length of nerve fibers) and "joint" (as the summated size/strength of synapses). The wire and joint mediate information transmission and transduction, respectively. Thus, L and A may be measurements of the total length of nerve fibers and the strength of summated synapses in the activated auditory pathway. L and A differed between frequency channels and neurons, suggesting that the differences of acoustic neuronal responses are always caused by activation of different pathways, and that the pathways that process sounds are diverse.  相似文献

This paper reports the study of ancient potteries unearthed from the Guangfulin site in Shanghai. From the external features of these potteries, archeologists can classify them into two different cultural types: Liangzhu culture (local culture) and a new culture which might be derived elsewhere, but they can not recognize whether they were produced in the same place. Proton induced X-ray emission (PIXE) and instrumental neutron activation analysis (INAA) were used to measure the chemical compositions of the samples and the results were analyzed using multivariate statistics. We found that the two methods can complement each other and their database can be mutually referenced in the study of ancient potteries. Experimental results show that the compositions of the potteries from the two cultural types are different, which means that the materials for ancient potteries of new culture originate from elsewhere. This supports the archaeologists’ speculation that a group of ancient people migrated to Shanghai from some other places 4000 years ago.  相似文献

Dy-Cu intermediate alloys have shown substantial potential in the field of magnetostrictive and magnetic refrigerant materials. Therefore, this study focused on investigating the electrical conductivity of molten-salt systems for the preparation of Dy-Cu alloys and on optimizing the corresponding operating parameters. The electrical conductivity of molten LiF-DyF3-Dy2O3-Cu2O systems was measured from 910 to 1030℃ using the continuously varying cell constant method. The dependencies of the LiF-DyF3-Dy2O3-Cu2O system conductivity on the melt composition and temperature were examined herein. The optimal operating conditions for Dy-Cu alloy production were determined via analyses of the electrical conductivity and activation energies for conductance, which were calculated using the Arrhenius equation. The conductivity of the molten system regularly increases with increasing temperature and decreases with increasing concentration of Dy2O3 or Cu2O or both. The activation energy Eκ of the LiF-DyF3-Dy2O3 and LiF-DyF3-Cu2O molten-salt systems increases with increasing Dy2O3 or Cu2O content. The regression functions of conductance as a function of temperature (t) and the addition of Dy2O3 (W(Dy2O3)) and Cu2O (W(Cu2O)) can be expressed as κ=-2.08435 + 0.0068t-0.18929W(Dy2O3)-0.07918W(Cu2O). The optimal electrolysis conditions for preparing the Dy-Cu alloy in LiF-DyF3-Dy2O3-Cu2O molten salt are determined to be 2.0wt% ≤ W(Dy2O3) + W(Cu2O) ≤ 3.0wt% and W(Dy2O3):W(Cu2O)=1:2 at 970 to 1000℃.  相似文献

Fundamental definitions of distance and velocity in radar measurement principle are examined and revised from strict theoretical point of view. Synchronization scheme - for clocks in uniform, translatory relative motion is introduced as theoretical foundation for GPS and GLONASS type navigation and positioning technology. Traditional definitions of two-way radar measurement, based on arithmetic mean vlaue concept, turn out to be special cases of revised definitions for one-way radar measurement, based on geometric mean concept, derived from synchronization of moving clocks in accordance with the principle of relativity. The essential physical meaning of Lorentz transformation is interpreted in terms of radar measured parameters. Invariance or absoluteness of four dimensional interval turns out to be invariance or absoluteness of geometric mean time interval. In this paper,Berenger's perfectly matched layer(PML)absorbing boundary condition for electromagnetic waves is introduced as the truncation area of the computational domain to absorb one-dimensional acoustic wave for the scheme of acoustical wave propagator(AWP).To guarantee the efficiency of the AWP algorithm,a regulated propagator matrix is derived in the PML medium.Numerical simulations of a Gaussian wave packet propagating in one-dimensional duct are carried out to illustrate the efficiency of the combination of PML and AWP.Compared with the traditional smoothing truncation windows technique of AWP,this scheme shows high computational accuracy in absorbing acoustic wave when the acoustical wave arrives at the computational edges.Optimal coefficients of the PML configurations are also discussed.  相似文献
