The structural relationship of phorbol and cortisol: A possible mechanism for the tumor promoting activity of phorbol

Summary The crucial functional groups of phorbol-12-myristate-13-acetate (PMA) are superimposable with those of the glucocorticoid cortisol in a unique manner which suggests a mechanism for PMA activity, i.e. the alkylation of a cortisol receptor.     

The suppression of mouse spontaneous locomotor activity by the ingestion of deuterium oxide.

The spontaneous locomotor activity of the laboratory mouse is significantly depressed by the ingestion of deuterium oxide. The response, which is reversible, is a retilinear one with up to 70% reduction in activity with the administration of 25% heavy water.     

Effect of heat treatment on the ATPase activity of various sarcoplasmic reticulum preparations.

Ca2+-stimulated ATPase activity of sarcoplasmic reticulum (SR) preparations is activated after a short period of preincubation at temperatures between 40 and 45 degrees C, but for temperatures higher than 48 degrees C pronounced denaturation is observed. Heat denaturation is decreased if Mg2+ or K+ are present during heat treatment.

Summary Tryptic treatment of muscle thick filaments reveals the underlying backbones of aggregatedl-meromyosin as a coli of 3 secondary filaments (helical repeat 130 nm) each in turn a coli of a 3 finer ones.     

Blood plasma investigations by resonance raman spectroscopy: Detection of carotenoid pigments

Summary Using Raman spectroscopy, we demonstrate that low levels of -carotene, lycopene, and xanthophyll give rise to resonance enhanced bands in blood plasma. These results explain the significance of previously unidentified spectral maxima which have been related to the state of health of the blood donor.     

井身结构设计必封点综合确定方法研究

在对库车地区深井超深井井下复杂情况分析的基础上，综合考虑地层岩性和地层压力等影响因素，根据已有资料，用随机理论方法确定发生井下复杂情况的概率密度函数，得出井下复杂情况发生的位置及可能性，提出新的井身结构必封点确定方法。应用实例表明，用随机理论方法确定井下复杂情况是可行和有效的，井身结构设计中必封点的确定原则并不惟一，设计者应根据经验和实际情况加以取舍。     

Mn0.6Zn0.4Fe2O4/α-Fe2O3复合材料的磁性和电阻率温度关系研究

采用化学共沉淀法制备了Mn0.6Zn0.4Fe2O4和α-Fe2O3纳米微粉,进而利用陶瓷工艺制备了(Mn0.6Zn0.4Fe2O4)1-x/(α-Fe2O3)x纳米晶复合块体材料.详细研究了(Mn0.6Zn0.4Fe2O4)1-x/(α-Fe2O3)x样品的相结构、磁学性质和电阻率的温度依赖性.研究发现在Mn0.6Zn0.4Fe2O4中掺入适量的α-Fe2O3可改善材料的高频软磁性能,也可改善样品电阻率的温度灵敏度.从而为锰锌铁氧体性能的改善提供了新的线索.     

开放式架构的设备故障虚拟诊断中心的实现

针对远程诊断中缺乏会诊管理和协调机制的问题，提出了基于Internet，开放式架构的虚拟诊断中心的概念，设计了虚拟诊断中心的结构方案和专家协作机制．围绕被诊断对象构建了故障案例、基于ActiveX的分析工具和多媒体会议为一体的会诊环境，提高了会诊效率，并通过WebService接口实现了远程专家设备状态数据和案例的共享，支持了专家的协作研究工作．同时，通过采用设备信息管理开放系统联盟提出的机械信息数据库结构，克服了以往会诊系统只针对特定企业监测系统的缺点，并利用SQLServer。的推订阅技术上传企业Intranet，设备数据库的状态数据，保障了企业设备状态数据库的安全性．该诊断中心已在武钢大型轧钢厂加热风机、西安交通大学检测所的转子实验台上进行了初步应用，结果表明其系统结构合理，运行稳定，使用方便．
