Cellular control of the tick-borne virus antigen production in persistently infected cell culture

Summary The influence of inhibition or stimulation of cellular DNA synthesis on tick-borne virus antigen production in persistently infected cell culture was studied. Either mitomycin C or cytosine-arabinoside caused cessation of antigen-containing cell number increase. Stimulation of cellular DNA synthesis by growth medium change increased the level of antigen-containing cells. When HEp-2-Sof culture was synchronized, a correlation was observed between the entrance of cells into DNA synthesis phase and the increase of proportion of antigen-containing cells.

Summary In the hypoblast-deprived chick embryos, with the help of carbon particle marking and tritiated thymidine labelling, it was found that the regenerated hypoblast consists of the cells invaginated through the primitive streak and those derived from the germ wall.

Zusammenfassung Atmungsgeschwindigkeit und Peroxidasetätigkeit mit Tabak-Nekrose-Virus eingespritzter Primärblätter desPhaseolus vulgaris L. nehmen bei 26°C vor dem Erscheinen der lokalen Wunden zu, und zwar proportional zur Wundenzahl und ebenso in Abhängigkeit vom Abstand der Periode vom Zeitpunkt der Einspritzung an.

Zusammenfassung Bei der Bestimmung der renalen Plasmaströmung mit der Paraaminohippursäuremethode wird vorausgesetzt, dass dieser Stoff nicht durch die Lymphgefässe aus der Niere abtransportiert wird. Die Kontrolle der PAH-Konzentration im D. thoracicus während der intravenösen Infusion ergab, dass sie die Plasmakonzentration nicht signifikant überschreitet, so dass die «lymphatische PAH-Clearance» gegenüber der renalen Clearance vernachlässigt werden kann.

Zusammenfassung Bei Hunden wurde das aorticorenale Ganglion der linken Seite herausgenommen und die Niereninnervation mit der Silberimprägnations- und der histochemischen Fluoreszenzmethode auf Monoamine nachFalck untersucht. Auf Grund der Degenerationserscheinungen kann geschlossen werden, dass das Ganglion die Nierenarterien, das motorische Nervengeflecht an der Oberfläche der Media, die vasa recta und Nierenbeckenwand mit adrenergischen sympathischen Nervenfasern versorgt.     

Catecholamine-containing nerves in the submucosa of the ureter

Résumé Les nerfs de la submuqueuse de l'urêtre des Rongeurs examinés contiennent de la monoamine. Les uns accompagnent les vaisseaux sanguins, d'autres en sont indépendants. Ils ne s'étendent pas au delà de la couche inférieure de l'épithélium. Les cellules ganglionnaires et chromaffines semblent manquer. Le rôle possible des nerfs contenant de la catécholamine sans être reliés à un élément effecteur est discuté.
