在非平面衬底液相外延中,衬底的定向偏差角对外延生长有较大影响。为此我们对衬底定向偏差角对外延层形状及表面形貌的影响做了实验研究。 一、实验 1.对外延层形状的影响 我们在衬底定向和(100)面无偏差角(误差在±0.1°范围)及沿沟槽方向和(100)面有0.5°—1°的偏差角的衬底片上,进行液相外延生长四层结构。     

Generation and annotation of the DNA sequences of human chromosomes 2 and 4

Human chromosome 2 is unique to the human lineage in being the product of a head-to-head fusion of two intermediate-sized ancestral chromosomes. Chromosome 4 has received attention primarily related to the search for the Huntington's disease gene, but also for genes associated with Wolf-Hirschhorn syndrome, polycystic kidney disease and a form of muscular dystrophy. Here we present approximately 237 million base pairs of sequence for chromosome 2, and 186 million base pairs for chromosome 4, representing more than 99.6% of their euchromatic sequences. Our initial analyses have identified 1,346 protein-coding genes and 1,239 pseudogenes on chromosome 2, and 796 protein-coding genes and 778 pseudogenes on chromosome 4. Extensive analyses confirm the underlying construction of the sequence, and expand our understanding of the structure and evolution of mammalian chromosomes, including gene deserts, segmental duplications and highly variant regions.     

CD36 is a sensor of diacylglycerides

Toll-like receptor 2 (TLR2) is required for the recognition of numerous molecular components of bacteria, fungi and protozoa. The breadth of the ligand repertoire seems unusual, even if one considers that TLR2 may form heteromers with TLRs 1 and 6 (ref. 12), and it is likely that additional proteins serve as adapters for TLR2 activation. Here we show that an N-ethyl-N-nitrosourea-induced nonsense mutation of Cd36 (oblivious) causes a recessive immunodeficiency phenotype in which macrophages are insensitive to the R-enantiomer of MALP-2 (a diacylated bacterial lipopeptide) and to lipoteichoic acid. Homozygous mice are hypersusceptible to Staphylococcus aureus infection. Cd36(obl) macrophages readily detect S-MALP-2, PAM(2)CSK(4), PAM(3)CSK(4) and zymosan, revealing that some--but not all--TLR2 ligands are dependent on CD36. Already known as a receptor for endogenous molecules, CD36 is also a selective and nonredundant sensor of microbial diacylglycerides that signal via the TLR2/6 heterodimer.     

Temperature dependence of surface enhanced Raman scattering on C<Subscript>70</Subscript>

The temperature dependence of surface enhanced Raman scattering of the C70 molecule is reported. The Raman scattering of C70 molecules adsorbed on the surface of a silver mirror was measured at different temperatures. The experimental results indicate that the relative intensities of the Raman features vary with the temperature of the sample. When the temperature decreases from room temperature to 0℃, the relative intensifies of certain Raman bands decrease abruptly. If we like the strongest band 1565cm^-1 as a standard value 100, the greatest decrease approaches to 43%. However, with the further decrease in the temperature these relative intensities increase and resume the value at room temperature. And such a temperature dependence is reversible. Our results show that the adsorption state of the C70 molecules on the silver surface around 0℃ changes greatly with the temperature, resulting in a decrease in relative intensities for some main Raman features of C70 molecule. When the temperature is lower than 0℃, the adsorption state changes continually and more slowly. Synchronously, eight new Raman features, which have not ever been reported in fiterature, are observed in our experiment and this enriches the basic information of the vibrational modes for C70 molecule.     

东夷民族天文学初探

《逸周书》和《左传》记载,东夷民族已有了以鸟名为官名的天文历法官员,《尚书·尧典》记载了当时的天文历法,能确定二分二至.大汶口文化出土的陶文为上述文献记载提供了证据,说明当时已用日出方向确定春分,用测量日影确定二至.对遗址的实际测量,发现了陶文的天文意义.我国天文历法产生的年代,可追溯到5000a前,东夷民族天文学,是当时诸民族中较先进的天文学.     

The C. elegans genome sequencing project: a beginning.

The long-term goal of this project is the elucidation of the complete sequence of the Caenorhabditis elegans genome. During the first year methods have been developed and a strategy implemented that is amenable to large-scale sequencing. The three cosmids sequenced in this initial phase are surprisingly rich in genes, many of which have mammalian homologues.
