The margin of overgrowth of the embryonic chick blastoderm as a study model for cell-to-cell contacts

Zusammenfassung Die Entwicklung vom «margin of overgrowth» junger Hühnerkeime ist verschieden nach Kontakt mit Helazellen und mit Mesonephros oder Hautgewebe; die ersteren hemmen die Entwicklung, die anderen werden vom Keim aufgenommen. Deshalb wird der «margin of overgrowth» als Modell für die Studie von Zellkontakten vorgeschlagen.

Résumé La dépolarisation de la membrane des cellules adipeuses brunes, produite par l'administration in vivo de noradrénaline, est aussi accompagnée d'une augmentation de la perméabilité mesurée par une augmentation de la résistance membranaire.

Effect of polyalkyl polyphosphonates on bone development in young rats

Zusammenfassung Es wird gezeigt, dass Knochenentwicklung junger Ratten durch Behandlung mit Polyethylen-Polyphosphonat ohne toxische Wirkung verhindert wird. Die Polyphosphonate wirken direkt auf den Knochen und können eventuell verschiedene klinische Anwendungen finden.

Etude de l'hemocyanine d'un Crustacé décapodeCarcinus maenas Linné par dichroïsme circulaire naturel et dichroïsme circulaire magnétique

Summary The hemocyanin ofCarcinus maenas L. in the oxy, deoxy and apoforms is examined by CD and MCD. An interpretation of the results is given in relation to the problems raised by Cu–O² bond. The ration tyrosin/tryptophan is determined by treatment of spectra by computer.
