Liver homing in the rat of111Indium labelled beef and neuraminidase-treated rat erythrocytes (Studies with a Gamma Camera)

Summary The rate of liver homing of¹¹¹In-labelled erythrocytes has been measured under a Gamma Camera. Homing of neuraminidase-treated or xenogeneic erythrocytes is delayed by preinjection of glycolipids or glycopeptides.We thank Miss Unverhau for excellent technical assistance.     

Improved treatment of organophosphate intoxication by use of scopolamine or dexetimide

Summary Organophosphate intoxications have been treated by dexetimide plus obidoxime. Rabbits intoxicated by the 50-80fold LD₅₀ of different organophosphates survived. Prophylactic application of dexetimide or scopolamine plus obidoxime increased the LD₅₀ of DFP by a factor up to 180.Supported by the Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft e. V., Munich, BRD     

Immuno-precipitates in Agar-Dextran media

Zusammenfassung Immunpräzipitate in der immunelektrophoretischen Verfahrenstechnik werden durch Dextranzusatz zum Agar Gel bedeutend stärker ausgeprägt. Zudem wird die Auflösungsmöglichkeit bei dieser Methode erhöht.     

Observations on division of mitochondria in dedifferentiating cells ofSplachnum ampullaceum (L.) Hedw

Zusammenfassung Während der Dedifferenzierung von Blattzellen des Gametophoren vonSplachnum ampullaceum (L.) Hedw. sind Teilungen von Mitochondrien durch Sprossung beobachtet worden. Mit Hilfe dieses Vorganges bilden sich Mitochondrieninitialen. Auf Grund dieser Beobachtungen wird die Reversibilität der Mitochondrienentwicklung und die Kontinuität von Mitochondrien während der Regeneration wahrscheinlich gemacht.     

Zur Bindung von Biliverdin an das Protein im Crenilabrus-Blau

Summary The blue biliprotein from the fins of the Mediterranean fishCrenilabrus pavo C.V. was analysed with respect to linkages between colouring matter (biliverdin IX) and apoprotein. It was shown by chromic oxidation under various conditions and determination of degradation products that one of the outer and one of the inner rings of biliverdin are free. The remaining inner ring is bound to the apoprotein presumably by an ester bond, while the lability of the linkage between one outer ring and apoprotein corresponds to a N-acyl-bond.     

Adrenocorticotropic effect in humans of a syntheticβ 1–24 corticotrophine derivative

Zusammenfassung Am Menschen wurde die adrenocorticotrope Wirkung von ^1–24 Corticotrophin Tetracosactid undd-Serin¹-17, 18 Diornithin ^1–24 Corticotrophin nach i.m. Injektion untersucht. Das synthetische Derivat erwies sich als etwa fünfmal stärker wirksam als das natürliche Tetracosactid, hauptsächlich durch eine Verlängerung der Wirkungsdauer.
