Acetylcholine-induced atrial tachyarrhythmia: A modification to quantitate potency and duration

Résumé La méthode d'induction de fibrillation auriculaire par l'acétylcholine est couramment utilisée pour tester l'action de substances anti-arythmiques. Nous avons modifié cette méthode de telle sorte que la fibrillation peut être induite à plusieurs reprises, à 15 minutes d'intervalle, chez le chien anesthésié. Ceci permet la détermination de l'efficacité et de la durée d'action dans des conditions bien contrôlées.

Summary TwoAmyclina species were examined concerning the more significant anatomo-morphological differences and the different cytological aspects in the nucleoli of growing oocytes.     

Rosette formation of tumor cells with concanavalin A treated erythrocytes

Summary Trypsinized human erythrocytes were incubated with concanavalin A at 4°C. After removal of free concanavalin A, the erythrocytes were incubated with Ehrlich ascites tumor cells at 37°C. The erythrocytes formed rosettes with the tumor cells.     

Serum and liver radioactivity levels in mice after intraperitoneal and subcutaneous injection of [14C]orotic acid

Summary [¹⁴C]Orotic acid was rapidly distributed in blood after, both i.p. and s.c. injection but was not completely absorbed from the peritoneal cavity until 20 min after injection. S.c. injection should be an acceptable alternative to i.p. injection although the incorporation into the liver acid soluble- and RNA-fractions was somewhat delayed after the s.c. injection.This work was supported by grants from the Carl Trygger Foundation and the Foundation of Director Albert Påhlsson.
