Circadian rhythm of progesterone secretion during pseudogestation in the rat

Résumé Par des canulations toutes les 6 heures chez des rattes le 7ème jour de la pseudogestation nous avons pu mettre en évidence un pic de progestérone entre 09.00 et 11.00. Sur la base de nos résultats (progestérone, 20 -OH-progestérone, poids des ovaires et corps jaune) et de la publication deFreeman etNeill ³ nous discutons le rôle de la LTH comme régulation possible de ce phénomène.

Ring Shaped nucleoli in the primary spermatocytes of rats and mice

Résumé Des empreintes et frottis de testicule de rat et de souris ont été préparés et colorés par la solution de Giemsa-Ionescu. Des nucléoles annulaires ont été observés dans les spermatocytes primaires. Une corrélation possible est envisagée entre ces nucléoles annulaires et la multiplication rapide des cellules seminifères.     

Permeation of purine derivatives into the cerebrospinal fluid of dogs

Zusammenfassung Der Übertritt verschiedener Purinderivate in den Liquor cerebrospinalis nach i.v. Injektion wurde an Hunden untersucht. Coffein permeiert sehr schnell, Theobromin und Theophyllin ungleich langsamer. Dies steht in Einklang mit der unterschiedlichen Lipoidlöslichkeit dieser Substanzen. AAT hingegen tritt nur in geringer Konzentration in den Liquor über, obwohl es die höchste Lipoidlöslichkeit aufweist.     

Effect of nicotine on the mobilization of free fatty acids from adipose tissue in vitro

Zusammenfassung In-vitro-Versuche mit Fettgewebe von Ratten zeigten keine direkte Wirkung des Nikotins auf die Freisetzung nicht veresterter Fettsäuren. Wurde den Tieren Nikotin verabreicht, bevor sie getötet wurden, so konnte nach Inkubation des Fettgewebes ein signifikanter Anstieg der Lipolyse festgestellt werden. Diese Beobachtung stützt die Auffassung, dass die Mobilisierung freier Fettsäuren durch Nikotin über eine sympathoadrenale Stimulierung erfolgt.     

p-Xylylenedicyanide and related compounds,weakly cytotoxic nitriles

Zusammenfassung Extrakte vonV. opulus von schwacher Zelltoxizität enthaltenp-Xylylendinitril. Die Isomeren,m- undp-Cyanohydrozimtsäurenitrile, wurden synthetisiert und auf ihre zelltoxischen Eigenschaften hin untersucht:p-Xylylendinitril erweist sich als am stärksten wirksam.
