Autoradiographic localization of radioactivity in female rat neocortex after injection of tritiated estradiol

Zusammenfassung Durch autoradiographische Untersuchung wurde die Einlagerung von Radioaktivität in ein begrenztes Gebiet des Neocortex der Rattenweibchen nach einmaliger Verabreichung von³H-Östradiol im Alter von 5 bis 50 Tagen nachgewiesen. Die reduzierten Silberkörner zeigen eine vorwiegend perinukleare Akkumulation, was für die Zellen der östrogen-Zielgewebe typisch ist.     

The local protective effect of potassium chloride on the depilatory action of X-rays in young mice

Zusammenfassung Wenn isotonische Kaliumchloridlösung vor einer Bestrahlung mit 550 R lokal eingespritzt wird, übt sie eine Schutzwirkung auf das Haarsystem der C₅₇ acht Tage alten schwarzen Mäuse aus. Dieser Effekt kann durch die vasoaktive Wirkung des Kaliums und durch die resultierende lokale Hypoxie erklärt werden.

Zusammenfassung Nachweis, dass LSD Konzentration von 100 g/ml in der Gewebekultur zur Verminderung der optischen Dichte oder zum Verschwinden der Nucleoli führen kann.     

The effect on the onset of puberty of whole body irradiation of infant female rats with and without hypothalamic lesions

Résumé Les résultats obtenus suggèrent que la lésion de l'hypothalame provoquée par la microcoagulation accélère l'apparition de la puberté des rats totalement irradiés aux rayons X, ce qui est le cas aussi chez des rats normaux. Mais l'apparition de la puberté est retardée proportionnellement aux doses de rayons X appliquées, indépendamment de la microcoagulation.     

Separation of germ layers in presomite rat embryos

Résumé Les feuillets du cylindre-Æuf du rat ont été disjoints par une solution composée de deux enzymes: 0,5% de trypsine et 2,5% de pancréatine. La séparation a été achevée par une aiguille de tungstène. Les feuillets ainsi détachés retiennent leur pouvoir de croissance et de différenciation comme homogreffes, sous la capsule rénale.     

Monoamines in the glomus pulmonale

Zusammenfassung Es wurde mit Hilfe der Fluoreszenzreaktion nachFalck und der Silberimprägnationstechnik nachBodian das Glomus pulmonale bei reifen Meerschweinchenföten untersucht. Die Zellen enthalten grosse Mengen Fluorophor, vermutlich Noradrenalin entsprechend. Ein kleiner Serotoninzusatz kann nicht ausgeschieden werden.     

Zur Bindung von Biliverdin an das Protein im Crenilabrus-Blau

Summary The blue biliprotein from the fins of the Mediterranean fishCrenilabrus pavo C.V. was analysed with respect to linkages between colouring matter (biliverdin IX) and apoprotein. It was shown by chromic oxidation under various conditions and determination of degradation products that one of the outer and one of the inner rings of biliverdin are free. The remaining inner ring is bound to the apoprotein presumably by an ester bond, while the lability of the linkage between one outer ring and apoprotein corresponds to a N-acyl-bond.     

Investigation of the N and P losses in different media used for inert dehydration

Résumé Les auteurs ont examiné les possibilités de diminution du contenu en azote et phosphore dans le foie du Rat au cours de l'«inert dehydration». La diminution la plus marquée a été observée après l'incubation dans une solution de glycol éthylène à 50% et de dextrose à 80%.     

Nephrocompensatory growth following thymectomy

Summary Thymectomy performed 28 days before unilateral nephrectomy produced significant inhibition in compensatory renal growth (CRG) in 3–6-month-old rats. Sera from thymectomized animals are not deprived of their renotrophic activity, but thymectomy of serum recipients almost abolished the capability of renotrophic serum to produce CRG.Supported by the Research Fund of Croatia, Yugoslavia.
